This idea that Wallace or Flash writers had no say in the writing for the crossover is ridicilous. They might have gotten pointers what to include. But each show had their own writers that worked all the details out. Its why they brought in the lightning rod comment. The idea was to switch Barry and Oliver and the lives they live. That also meant criss-crossing the relationship they are in. Nothing wrong with doing that but the Flash writers forgot how to give a good conclusion to the Elseworld shannanigans in their own episode. Guggenheim made sure Oliver and Felicity got that in the Arrow episode. I think the reason you getting less WA is because they spend some of the time on giving Iris and Barry something of a solo storyline away from each other. It will be merged at some point but i dont think the way they approached it was good. But they seem to have wanted that this whole storyline ends in some difficulties for WA. So the only angst you will get is once Iris is out. When you could have gotten all this suspense and angst all the way through. You will get it once its all wrapped up and probably done in an episode. Now combine that with the wishes of your lead to not be constantly the focus of the episodes something has to give.

Yeah Nazi versions of them. Having 2 very Arian looking people being a Nazi power-couple is not surprising. No Olicity fans wanted Nazi Oliver to be with with Jewish Felicity anyway. (although that reddit fanfic was fire). We still got the real Oliver and Felicity big moment. And Earth 1 Oliver meeting Jewish Felicity from Earth X and saving her life. That is honestly what mattered. Correct me if i am wrong but Wallace was responsible in writing the Flash part of Elseworlds crossover. He seemed to be doing ok with writing a very doting Iris being all over what she believed was Barry. Honestly i never understood why Iris had to be all over Oliver and then they had Oliver make the horryifying faces to it. They kept pushing it for the humor but i dont think it was the right choice. I never understood why they had Barry redo all the Oliver stuff since he cam out of prisone either I see what Wallace tried to do and its what Arrow did in s7 with Oliver being in prison and Felicity was trying to catch the man who caused it all. Everything was pushed forward by the love and getting the family together. Olicity was what drove the story. While Flash has seperated their couple and the urgency is not really felt at all. There is no Barry in agony in how to get his wife back. There are no desperate actions of a man that will do anything to reunite with his wife. The lack of urgency is what makes this whole situation seem that there is no way for a proper payoff. Especially now that the season might be cut short.

I would think the problem would be in the talent maybe having other projects lined up. I would also wonder about the sets being available as well as the crew. Some of them have other shows lined up to work on. IMO the situation in Canada might become worse for awhile. With the situation i would guess the writer strike might not be able to be resolved either.

The production is officially halted on the Flash. Now the big question is will they be able to film all the episodes to finish up this season?

I thought it was finally time that the Flash writers would stop shitting on Oliver, but i guess its in their blood. Also i wonder what crossover did they watch when they praising Barry as the hero. When Barry has not shown to be a hero at all. I am tired honestly.

Melissa will probably out of comission for about 5 months. I am guessing she will maybe filmed tlll the she is in the 6th month. And then there is also the fact that she wont be able to just get into the Supergirl suit right away.

It was probably part of her contract once they switched to Vancouver. If her contract is only for 6 seasons the negotiations for the cast are most likely ongoing, just like for another Arrowverse show. Will see how it turns out, but personally i dont think Melissa is staying beyond s6. The early filming also helps in case of a strike. Any episodes over 100 are a bonus, and i dont think there is the big push to keep it on air, especially with the incoming Superman show.

CW never announces final seasons when they renew shows. That was the case with Arrow also. Honestly i think Supergirl wont go on pass Melissa contract because being in Vancouver restricts her. And especially if her husbands show gets picked up. Whatever gig Melissa might have picked up it must interfere with the schedule for filming of the season. Meaning it would take place around July/August. Could be another Broadway gig.

I dont think the situation are comparable. s8 of arrow was an interlude to Crisis. Stephen Amell was always quite clear on that. While the showrunners tried to pretend it was for giving the show closure. Amell was pretty clear that Arrow has ended with s7. And basically only did it because Berlanti wouldnt take no for answer and he got paid very well. I dont see any event in the near future that would hold such a significance. Also i think its quite different if you and your husband live in vancouver/LA than Vancouver/New York.

I dont see her signing up for more season, she will just finish her original contract. Especially if her husbands show gets picked up. Since that show is supposedly filming in New Jersey.

And Stargirl will always be a DC Universe project. Just because it airs on the CW doesnt mean its suddenly part of the Arrowverse. The whole setup of E2 also seems quite different to what Arrowverse portrayed. They could have easily mention that E2 characters are still alive. But regarding Jessie i think the issue would be her availability. Since the actress is busy with her own show.

The new earth 2 will never be connected to the CW shows though.

I feel like Laurel/Tommy must have married before s3. Especially since s3 already had the Dyla wedding. Also Laurel was too obsessed with avenging her sister. And her father had that heart condition If anything i wouldnt be surprised if Laurel/Tommy were actually already engaged by the time Oliver comes back from the island or by end of s1. The only way i can justify both tommy and laurel surviving the undertaking is i if they are together and arent at CNRI.

Honestly the L/O hookup for me was just there to increase the impact of Tommy dying. Since that didnt happen i feel like Oliver /Tommy might have been fractured due to Tommy losing his dad. No matter what he still was his dad. I would also wonder if Oliver had the memories of pre Crisis how would handle the situation with L/O.
