Garcelle Beauvais: Coming to Beverly Hills
MatildaMoody replied to TexasGal's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
This is totally random. I have the ID channel because I love me some true crime. I started up The Real Murders of Los Angelas because it looked interesting. The narrator sounded familiar so I looked it up and sure enough, it's Garcelle. The show was suggested because I had already watched all of the episodes of the Real Murders of Atlanta, so I have no idea if this was a known thing or not. I just thought I would share and remark how jealous Rinna must have been when Garcelle got the gig. EDIT: It may have been on Peacock and not ID, I watch so much true crime, I do have trouble keeping the channels straight.- 277 replies

I watched that unseen footage in comparison to what made it the original run a little while back. The most disturbing thing about that footage, is how Kyle was not only "loaded for bear" she had several opportunities to simply let Kim go home. Kyle continually worked herself up for this fight even when the scene could have been completely done. A lot of people always believed that Kyle was just at the end of her rope and snapped. The previously unaired footage showed that Kyle could not wait to out Kim as an alcoholic. No one will ever convince me otherwise. Kyle had a plan to out Kim during the show and the season finale was her chance.

Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake
MatildaMoody replied to ryebread's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I have been saying since her first season that Erika is the BH version of Kelly Bensimon. Not only does she not get jokes or understand how banter works, she has a tendancy to suck the air out of the room or a conversation when she is not the main topic. Perfect example: Dorit and LVP making a joke, Erika not getting it and Dorit saying something about British humor. Instead of playing along with the banter, Erika's response is "you're from Conneticut" as though that had anything to do with what Dorit said. Another and better example is panty-gate. The whole thing started with Kyle and LVP joking around about panty lines. And LVP tries to bring Erika in on the banter asking if Kyle can borrow some underwear. Instead of playing along or changing the subject, Erika responds "I'm not wearing any." Boom, end of conversation. She just doesn't know how to interact with people who aren't fawning all over her.- 5.2k replies

Casting Speculation & Wish List
MatildaMoody replied to Avaleigh's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I would LOVE to see Joyce back especially if they keep Erika. Joyce has everything Erika was pretending to have when she first cam on the show. Legitimate wealth, an adoring and doting (and apparently well hung) husband, and an actual career in the entertainment industry. -
Lisa Rinna: These are the Lips of her Life
MatildaMoody replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
If I recall correctly, she was extremely vulgar in her insult and attacks to the QVC audience. She called them Karens who owned 50 cats and were so fat they couldn't even find their vaginas. It was AWFUL and one of the first times I started to wonder what the hell was wrong with her. QVC was her bread and butter, why on earth would she shit all over it like that? EDITED: If anyone was guilty of having a psychotic break this season, it's Rinna. And it seems to have been building for a long time.- 2.8k replies

Lisa Rinna: These are the Lips of her Life
MatildaMoody replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
All of the people who don't want to be deluged with racist, mysogynist tweets and misinformation are quitting it because Musk owns it now and has no idea what he has gotten himself into. Fixed it for you. Also Rinna will be back on Twitter, because she can't help herself. She is addicted to social media and won't be able to stand not seeing what other people are saying aout her. Remember how she swore she was no longer discussing Housewives stuff on Social Media? That lasted a few days and she was back. So, I don't by that she left Twitter for good.- 2.8k replies

S12.E24: Reunion, Part 3
MatildaMoody replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
If there are any legal folks out there, please correct me if I am wrong. My understanding is that a cease and desist only says "provide proof of what you are saying, or shut up. Otherwise, you risk a lawsuit." So if Rinna had proof, the cease and desist wouldn't apply. Unless I am completely misunderstanding it or have it confused with something else. -
S12.E23: Reunion, Part 2
MatildaMoody replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Kathy and Kris Jenner are good friends. They have a very long standing friendship between the families. She has no reason to be jealous of a family that she has had a very long time friendship with. That's what is so laughable about the statement of Kathy being jealous of the Kardashians. It's Rinna that wishes she were "in" with the Kardashians. Hell, she is already having to walk back the lie that she is friends with Kendall Jenner. https://www.realitytea.com/2022/10/24/lisa-rinna-backtracks-kendall-jenner-tequila/ -
Lisa Rinna: These are the Lips of her Life
MatildaMoody replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I keep thinking that I want both Erika and Rinna gone, but it occurred to me that what I really want is just one or the other gone. I think the the dynamics of the show would completely shift if Rinna were left on the show without Erika in her corner. Or, just how different everyone would behave if Erika were there but not Rinna. Especially if they brought back someone fairly neutral like Eileen or Joyce and kept the rest of the cast (minus Diana). It would be interesting to sere if Eileen would back Rinna's bullshit, or if she would be too reasonable and end up Rinna's target. Joyce would be an even better replacement for Erika because she has actual wealth and an adoring husband. That would absolutelyd drive Rinna crazy. I also think Rinna would feel threatened by Joyce's prior friendship with Kyle and the common ground Joyce would have with Garcelle and the not-so-subtle microagressions they've both been subjected to on the show. I also think the same combination minus Rinna and subbing in Erika would be an interesting and probably completely different dynamic. Imagine how jealous Erika would be if Rinna left and Joyce returned. Joyce legitmately has what Erika had been pretending to have. Just daydreaming about what it would take to bring me back to watch next season. -

The Garcelle/Julia Roberts thing makes me so happy. It's something you just KNOW makes folks like Rinna and Kyle crazy with jealousy. The fact that Julia Roberts is such a fan of Garcelle's that she needed a moment after meeting her just makes my day! https://www.realitytea.com/2022/09/27/julia-roberts-help-garcelle-beauvais-find-man/- 277 replies

S12.E14: Shameless Not Ruthless
MatildaMoody replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I missed this scene, I tend to watch clips online to avoid the people I don't like. But I have to ask, was it even more cringe than that time Kelly Bensimon (of New York) was filmed running in traffic in Manhattan? -

I know Rinna probably never actually saw this tweet response, but I love that this person called her out so cleanly.- 2.8k replies

Dana Wilkey (of the $25K sunglasses) was also featured. It took a minute for me to recognize her but the showed a flashback of the scene with the sunglasses.- 5.2k replies

I completely agree. There is nothing interesting left to explore in the Richards/Hilton family. Erika was NEVER interesting and Rinna wore out any good will she had early in her second season.

I apologize because this was a few pages back, but I really wanted to address this. There is a "lost footage" episode of this in which we see that Kyle had PLENTY of time to cool off before she confronted Kim in the limo. Kim had left with her date and producer (I also believe Adriane was there) and Kyle was actually on another floor of the building working herself up to confront Kim while waiting for the elevator. Kyle takes the elevator with the camera crew and her producer, all the while making sure to get angrier and angrier for effect before that entire confrontation happens. Kyle didn't just run out of patience. She made sure that she kept her anger at high alert so that she could drop this bomb if Kim dared step out of place and say something Kyle didn't like. For years I assumed that Kyle just got fed up with covering for her sister. But, the way Kyle immediately took Taylor's side, then got over the top angry at Kim for something petty, then followed Kim with a camera crew while talking about all she had done for Kim the entire time. It was obvious, that the producers wouldn't just let Kim leave. They knew Kyle was coming and she was worked up. Kyle played into their hands and even thought she won by calling Kim out as an alcoholic. Their dynamic is toxic, but Kyle had plenty of time to step back and say, "this isn't my secret to tell."

S10.E10: Black Ties and White Lies
MatildaMoody replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Denise never argued that the other women were too raunchy to have around her daughters. Denise asked them to tone down the talk at a specific event that included her children and her children's friends. The women decided that Denise was in the wrong because "I thought we were at Denise Richards' house." And "you are mom shaming us because you didn't bring your children to a Housewives party, after we told you that you shouldn't have your kids around us if you don't want them to hear what we are saying." -

Can you point to where they apologized? Not being snarky, but I never saw an apology and would like to judge for myself whether or not I find it genuine. -
S10.E08: Mind Your P's and BBQ's
MatildaMoody replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Kyle was the lead pearl clutcher and really tried to make it a thing. It was Adrian who was cool about it. She even explained to Kyle that since Kyle had only raised daughters, she didn't understand how different it was to raised boys. -
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let this be the case! How awesome would it be if all of the other women were counting on Brandi to come in and not only be the bad guy, but make them look like their attacks on Denise were warranted, only to have that removed or edited down to toothlessness? I would actually watch the season for that.

I'm wondering if they are re-thinking the Brandi storyline. If they are firing cast members for past racist statements and behaviors right now, Brandi's past statements may come back to bite her here. She becomes a HUGE liability considering the things she said during Joyce's season. Please let that be the case.

Better yet, someone should offer her some bread and see if she has a flashback to Kim telling her to eat some bread in Amsterdam. -

EXACTLY! That would have been the perfect opportunity to play the "Someone is jelly" card that she and Taylor played with LVP in the first season.
