I think there is a whole other part to this story that we're not being told. David fled to Thailand. Something happened. He did something. If he really was a Director of Human Resources like he has tried to claim, he was making decent money, even with having to pay for a divorce. There is a reason he can't get a job. I wouldn't be surprised to find out he was convicted of something that you have to put on a job application. Maybe he got arrested for soliciting a prostitute, or he stole money from his last employer. Or both. He seems very entitled, so I woudn't be surprised if he stole money. There is something darker going on here. David is too screwed up for a simple divorce trauma situation. And I would think that if nothing else, this show would pay enough for them to at least cover their rent. Jorge thinking he can just buy his way to a good marriage is comical, but I do think Anfisa might put up with his bullshit lies more if he was rich and buying her things.

Nancy lives in Philadelphia. I need to find her, buy her some drinks, and find out exactly what happened with David. He made it sound like he had some super important Human Resources job before his marriage ended and everything got screwed up. But Nancy implied that David has been broke and mooching off everyone for years. We know Chris gave him thousands of dollars, and now we find out he mooched off his other sister and their father as well. I wonder how much back child support he owes, and how much his ex-wife appreciates seeing him buy water buffalo for his new girlfriend's parents. Annie doesn't listen and doesn't pay attention. She wants a baby, doesn't care what it takes to get it or pay for it, and hasn't thought at all about how they will survive. She's in for a rude awakening when David gets a job for $8 an hour.

The modeling thing may have come up later, but from day one, Paola was no shy, conservative, modest woman. Russ knew to a large extent what he was getting. He wants a wife with a completely different personality and value set than the wife he has. And he knew that early on. I think he just thought Paola would change once she was in Oklahoma. If Russ was working on the oil rig or traveling a lot, this may be another couple who spent very little time together before they got engaged. I hope they don't get pregnant. This marriage is doomed, and it would be horrible for a child to be stuck in the middle. And I really think Juan might be paid by TLC to bring the drama. He has that evil comic book character vibe that I highly doubt is real.

I feel no sympathy for Chantel. She married someone she visited a few times in another country, and whose culture she doesn't understand or care to understand. She can walk off and get a divorce any time she wants. These people are proof that the K-1 Visa process needs to change. I hope they pay for the private investigator and turn up absolutely nothing.
-
For all her bitching, Chantel actually lives in a pretty nice apartment. Its not really that small. I lived in smaller when I first started out. I think that private investigator saw a meal ticket. What Pedro is doing is a cultural thing. I know other people who do it. When my friend who is Indian has her in-laws come visit from India, they dictate how long they are staying and when they are leaving. She can't tell them to leave. Its a cultural thing. Like Molly, Chantel married her vacation fuck buddy and is now paying the price of getting together with someone who she knew nothing about. I have no sympathy for her.

Honestly, they're just not a good match. Both of them have said some horrible things to each other. I don't think Russ is really trying to control. Paola. They just have two completely different sets of values. They want completely different things. They can't even agree on geography. Russ is right in my opinion that Paola is more mean-spirited when she is in Colombia with Juan than when they are not with Juan. They need to get divorced and go their separate ways. Paola needs to find someone who is more liberal and risk-taking like her, and Russ needs to find a conservative woman back in Oklahoma. If I remember correctly, Russ was actually laid off from his job, and the only other job he could find was far away in some place like Seattle. Paola didn't make Russ quit his job. And she was working to make money for them while he was laid off, which puts her way ahead of other people on this show as far as at least not being a gold digger.
-
With the money David has already spent on water buffalo and other bullshit, Annie and her family come out ahead financially at this point whether the marriage works out or not. She has already profited. Annie is as bad of a gold digger as Anfisa and Pedro.
-
So Nicole is quitting her job, and Azan has no job. Are they planning to live off the money they make by being on this show?? I assume it is another couple thousand dollars to apply for the spousal Visa. Where is that money coming from? How come the producers never ask these tougher questions??? Nicole is awful, but not legally unfit as a mother. There kids in much worse situations. But Nicole is still an asshole. Anfisa is doing a better job of watching her behavior, but she is still the crazy bitch who keyed Jorge's car and smashes cell phones. I wonder if they will discuss that in the couples therapy.
-
Nicole is immature but clever. I know someone like this in real life. Nicole figures things out when she wants to. She figured out how to get to Morocco, and she figured out how to blackmail her parents into paying for things and sponsoring. Azan. She's not stupid, just impulsive and selfish. If the Azan thing doesn't work out, she knows Mommy and Daddy will clean it up. I'm reasonably sure they are giving her money on a regular basis, and have continued to do so despite her sending thousands to Azan. Its Nicole's parents who are stupid.

Have you noticed that any time Juan or Paola's family says that Russ "took" Paola away from them by "bringing" her to Oklahoma, Paola never corrects them? She never speaks up and says it was her own damned choice to leave Columbia, and she NEVER admits to them how much she loves it in Miami. That never gets mentioned. Russ moved to Miami to make Paola happy, and she never brings that up to her family or Juan. She could go back to Columbia any time she wants. They act like Russ is holding her hostage. I still can't figure out why Russ didn't just marry some girl in Oklahoma. He's a nice looking guy who had a good job. He had options. This was a disaster waiting to happen from day 1.

Just because she considered adoption doesn't mean she doesn't love her kid. I actually think considering adoption in her situation was the mature thing to do. And while Brianna is a train wreck in many respects and the Coven is awful, I can't say Brianna is not a reasonably decent mother. She seems to pawn her kids off on other people less than some of the others, and she seems loving towards them and she pays attention. And Brianna is one of the few people on the show who actually seems to have a real JOB. I suspect she stirred the shit with Kail because she knows she has to bring drama or risk getting cut from the show. She had no other story line with both baby daddies missing in action.
-
Is this part of the reunion we just saw them show during the current season on camera, or is this another reunion, with Kail and the Coven STILL fighting?? Are they really still feuding even though Javi has now knocked up a third party? I'm not a Chelsea fan, but she is the most stable one of the bunch. Her only real sin was clinging to Adam too long and a serious lack of ambition. And agreeing to be on this show. And that time her dog gotten eaten by another dog because she didn't watch it properly. Actually, she's not that great. But she's better than the others by a mile. I hope she keeps her cosmetology license up-to-date in case they ever need the money, because this show ain't gonna last forever, and Chelsea's lack of drama might get her fired by MTV. Hopefully they are being wise about the money. And whatever happened to the pig?? Have we seen the pig this season (the real pig, not Adam. I know where Adam went.)?
-
I didn't say she was a better person, just a better mother. Kail seems more attentive and loving towards her kids than Jenelle. And she does a better job of avoiding screaming while her two older kids are standing there. And Kail seems a tad more functional overall. She is still vindictive and horribly immature. But she finished college and her first two baby daddies were semi-decent people. Jenelle is a drug addict who subjects her kids to abusive men and never puts her kids first.
-
Statistically, when you have a baby as a teen, you are more likely to have more kids early, and outside of marriage. That being said, I know someone who was a teen mom and raised her kid just fine, without any of this drama. This show portrays the worst stereotypes of teenage mothers and single mothers in general. I laughed when Kailyn said she wanted to avoid seeming Jerry Springer, when in reality she has created the Jerry Spring vibe in her own home. She has the multiple baby daddies, divorce, cheating, screaming, threatening to beat up rivals. She even has the lesbian side story. And she is STILL a better mother than Jenelle. Which is so very, very sad. These days, everyone is considered their own brand. Its a new professional marketing-type thing. I took a professional seminar on it. So yes, Kail can consider herself a brand. But she's awful at marketing herself, so she's not a good brand. She's like that generic "Orange Drink" you can get at the grocery store that pretends to be orange juice, but we all no there is no juice to be had in that container. Kail is the Orange Drink of celebrities.
-
Kail actually had a pretty decent situation. She had two reasonably stable baby daddies who managed to avoid jail and took care of their kids, and even seemed to care about each other's kids. I feel so bad for baby Lux. He is going to grow up watching his brothers go see their dads, and he will likely rarely or never have a visit with his own dad. Kail was an ass for getting pregnant by a guy she barely knew. Its like she was bored and wanted the drama.
-
Chelsea and Leah are boring as hell this season. And Kail only has a storyline because of Brianna. The only interesting crap this season was with Brianna and Jenelle. The others should be thanking God for their drama. They wouldn't be continuing to get paid otherwise.
-
Leah has known Kailyn for years, and they went to each other's weddings. If Brianna wasn't such an idiot and did her homework, she would have known to say nothing to Leah about Javi other than "We're just friends." Personally, I think Brianna knew Leah would run to Kail and wanted her to. I think Brianna is a schemer who wants a bigger and more relevant part on the show. Her baby daddies both disappeared, so she needed another storyline. I think Brianna and the Coven are actually very calculating, and might even be angling for their own spinoff. That's the vibe they give off. Too bad, Brianna. On your worst day, you will never be as entertaining to hate-watch as Jenelle. You just don't have the talent she does for keeping the drama flowing. All that being said, Kail made a new baby with a guy she barely knew and just hooked up with. So shut up Kail. Although you do get some bonus points for not taking the Disney trip away from Isaac just because you were pissed at Javi. You continue to be a better mother than Jenelle.

Loved when Roshanda asked Dr. Now when she needs to start the diet. Well, you're 800 pounds, so maybe right now would be good. These people are so conflicted about wanting to change what they're doing. And what was Roshanda going on about how other doctors just told her to lose 200 to 300 pounds, so they weren't any good? Has she never watched this show and seen that Dr. Now is going ask her to do the exact same thing?? I think Dr. Now should be legally obligated to tell all these people what he admitted on an earlier episode a few weeks ago: 90% of you will regain most of the weight after surgery. People should know that going in and get real eating disorder therapy before they get surgery.

Anyone who marries someone the day they are leaving for drug rehab has serious emotional problems of their own. And then gets pregnant knowing damn well their husband still have some serious issues. Like everyone else on here, I feel bad for the kids who are the real victims of this situation. But I do have some sympathy for Mackenzie. I bet her own childhood was no walk in the park, considering what she is choosing to put up with. No one with any kind of real self esteem signs up for this train wreck.

Mackenzie even claimed that Maci was a "trigger" for Ryan, and implied that she helped push him into taking drugs because she is such a trigger for him.
-
I just watched the season finale. For someone who claims to be sober, Ryan looks hung over and strung out all of the time. I think Maci was correct when she said he hasn't taken her to court to adjust custody because he can't pass a drug test. Also, do any of these people have real jobs they go to??

Lots of people eat super healthy during pregnancy. I know a vegan who had a perfectly healthy pregnancy, and several vegetarians. It was just another excuse. She probably couldn't stick to Dr. Now's 1200 calorie diet while pregnant, but she could have eaten healthy. She is full of shit.
-
So 95% of Dr. Now's patients will gain most of the weight back. Given how expensive the surgery is, what is even the point?? These people are mentally ill, and clearly surgery isn't the answer. Bettie Jo is living proof of that. I wanted to smack her for getting pregnant at 400 pounds. Stop whining about the health of your baby. If she cared about the health of her baby, she wouldn't have gotten pregnant when her body was not in a state where she could safely carry a child to term. These people are all about short-term happiness and satisfaction. That is their real problem.
-
Not to defend these people and their behavior, but they are likely not allowed to get out of bed by themselves in the hospital. When my father had a stroke and was identified as a "fall risk", they literally put an alarm on his chair that would go off if his butt left the seat. I doubt Schenee was encouraged to just get up and try to move when she was in the hospital. For liability reasons, I would bet she was told to stay put unless someone was helping her. If she had gotten up and fallen in the hospital, you could just imagine the lawsuit she would have filed. That's not to say she couldn't have walked at home, or done more to help herself. And I doubt Schenee would have been running down the hallway even if she was allowed. But the hospital does not want you doing anything that increases the risk you could sue them.

My grandmother was hospitalized repeatedly when she kept falling and the assisted care was worried she had hit her head. Every time they had her just sitting there for a week while they waited for the CT scan machine to have an open appointment. When she did get physical therapy, it was one hour a day, and none on weekends. That is what insurance and Medicare covered. I am telling you this because my answer is Yes, these people are likely sitting in bed most of the day, with maybe an hour of physical therapy. That is the reality of the hospital. What they really need is in-patient rehab at an eating disorders clinic. Schenee was likely sleeping 12 hours at a shot and watching television. And she still lost like 80 pounds, which says something about how much she was eating when left to make her own choices.
