  1. I honestly didn't have much opinion on Korina before this week. She just was there. Man, was she obnoxious though this week. I have no problem with her leaving, although I do think she is more talented than Char. So many talented designers have been eliminated early, but have used their experience to go on to bigger things. Korina's attitude may hurt her in that respect. Have no problem with Korina's model going either. Her attitude and those weird pouty lips were a major turn off. I really liked Amanda and Kini's collection. I don't always like her stuff, but Amanda really does amuse me. Liked the simplicity of Char and Sean's stuff, but that lampshade skirt was awful. Loved Char's last blue dress.
  2. This episode really ticked me off. The beginning was fine. I like this Doctor and I even like Clara this season. Plus, I like Danny Pink and Clara together. The whole comedy routine at the beginning was enjoyable. Then, the Doctor went off on a degrading, demeaning tirade against soldiers, which as others have pointed out, came out of nowhere. It made the Doctor immensily unlikeable. Worse, Clara never stood up for Danny at all. I kept expecting her to scream, argue, yell - anything in Danny's defense and she never did. Then, to make matters worse, she expected Danny to like the Doctor. I don't know why he should. He was a complete asshole to him. I have watched this show since the Tom Baker years and seen earler Doctors. Never have I felt as much loathing for the character as I did in this episode. I truely have enjoyed this season, esp. after last season. For me, the Doctor and Clara work together so much better this year. But this was a horrible episode and was incredibly demeaning to every soldier out there and to every gym teacher out there, because, apparantly none of them have brains and are worthless human beings. (As an aside, the best teacher I ever had who pushed me to do better than I thought possible, was a PE teacher.) Bad, it was just bad!
  3. Just heard about the cancellation. Although I'm not very surprised I still hoped for another season. A few thoughts on the show and why I think the ratings went down (my own personal opinion)... Storylines went on too long. For three years the audience was supposed to care about who murdered an unknown character. The actors really tried to sell it, but couldn't overcome the fact that we just did not know this person. That plot should have been resolved earlier and it could have lead to another storyline. The election - did anyone care about that one either? I mean, the show is about a sheriff called Longmire. He was not going to lose. That's another one they could have ended earlier for more interesting plots. For me, both these plotlines just had a corressive effect on the series as a whole. While I still liked to watch the show, I found myself caring less and less. If I watched it fine, if I missed it one week, oh well. The last season I also found I cared about the characters less and less. Longmire, who always was a bit self-righteous and holier than thou, started to become insufferable this season. Vic (never my favorite character but ok) became stupid and unbearable. Branch's descent could have been interesting but they took it too far and I just couldn't watch my favorite character anymore. The one good thing about the show being cancelled is that we aren't going to have to endure a Longmire/Vic romantic relationship. It was bad enough the little they did this season. I truely couldn't stand those two together.
  4. I missed the beginning so I don't know what the red carpet event was, but if it had been the Oscars I would have given the win to Kini. His dress was gorgeous but maybe a little too formal. Count me among those who don't understand the Amanda love. Fade needs to be on the top soon. He is just too good.
  5. It's not that I didn't appreciate Ruby's rant, but neither did it move me in any way. I've come to the conclusion that the reason Walt's story leaves me cold is that we never knew Martha, his wife. I wish we had some flashbacks to her, Walt and Cady together. Everything we learn about her has been from the other characters. That's not a bad thing and other shows have done it well but, for some reason, I just can't bring myself to feel that much about Martha. Yet this main story has been going on for three seasons now and I can't get myself to care about it. Still, this was a good episode. Very well written and paced. It is a relief that all the characters now know about Walt's wife murder. It has moved the storyline along in a huge way. I wish they had done that earlier. I liked the scene with Branch and Henry. Just a llittle moment between two people who are having a rough month. I personally don't feel that Branch is losing it. The previews make it seem that way, but then you realize everything he's doing is very calculated. Not that he isn't on edge, but I think mainly he wants to find out who shot him. Of course, I could be proven wrong with the kidnapping. Vic - whatever.
  6. I'm not sure it's fair to suggest that those of us who disagree with the potential Walt, Vic relationship are doing it ust because we want to rag on Vic. I, for one, am not crazy about her character - that is true. However, why I really don't want them together is because (my personal view) of the lack of chemistry between them, sexually or otherwise. I know that I am in the minority on that because most watchers do seem to like the father, daughter relationship that they have built up on the show. I don't even care for that but, as I have mentioned, that is my personal view. As for Vic herself, it has been said her character is much better in the books. I haven't read them so I can't attest to that. I can only go by what I've seen. In the first season, I really didn't mind her. She seemed strong with just enough personal issues. That was fine with me as sometimes the "strong, smart woman" can become just as cliched and boring. I'm not really sure why I started to dislike her more last season, but she just was striking my last nerve. I honestly think the boring stalker case did not do her character justice. It should have showed her vunerabilities, but also her strengths. For whatever reason, though, she just became more unlikeable to me. Unfortunately, that has carried over to this season with the possible Vic, Walt hook up. (As an aside, that scene in the bathroom where she was looking at Walt's scars almost as a turn on started the character off on a bad note for me.)
  7. I liked this week's episode much better than last weeks, mainly because of the lack of any Walt, Vic innuendo. But I also liked the crime of the week, which seemed much better paced and involving. The two Native American women were well played, esp. the judge. I thought in one episode they both had much more chemistry with Walt than Vic will ever have. But that's just me. I appreciate that Branch is still looking ill and isn't running laps yet. It's a little more realistic then some shows. One thing I caught was the nurse saying that David Ridges gives blood. If Ridges did shoot Branch, then his blood could have saved him. That would play more havoc with Branches' thoughts. The less said about Vic's interruption of the pageant, the better. Seriously, what was the point? Looking forward to next week.
  8. I can't stand the thought that they are putting Walt and Vic together. I know, to each his own, but not only do I feel no romantic chemistry between the two, but I don't even feel a friendship chemistry. Together, they truely just leave me cold. The mystery was a bit blah this week. I did like the idea that Branch and Ferg were working together well. In the previews, they showed a scene with Branch sitting in a hospital chair and I think Ferg asking what it's like to be shot. They must have cut that out - disappointing.
  9. I think I liked this episode more than all the ones last year. Of course it helped that they didn't have anything on Vic's stalker, not much on who killed Walt's wife and the only mention of the election was a sentence by Barlow. Honestly, I'm not sure why I watched this show last season since I didn't really care for any of the storylines. Tonight's episode, though, was fast paced and opened up some intriguing possibilities. Nice to see Barlow again (too bad Branches' uncle wasn't there also. I can't think of his name right now). Always good to see A Martinez, too. I do wish they had a better scene with Branch and Cady, since I do like them together. That was disappointing. All in all, though, a really good episode.
  10. I'm not sure what charity Jeff was playing for, but I am glad that he made it to the last two. I like him. I'm also glad Aaron won, since I'm probably one of the few that liked him and his show. I tried a couple of his recipes that were really good.
