  1. I'll just leave this here:
  2. Claremont-era X-Men as a daytime soap. If you pace it like a daytime soap, you can manage the budget by having one battle every six months, and the rest of the time is interpersonal drama.
  3. I really wanted to like this more than I did. The energy of the show is just kind of flat and stilted. I'm going to keep watching, and I expect it to improve, but there's something subtle that needs goosing - the editing, the sound design, the lighting, something like that.
  4. I thought Stella's was really spectacular. Hers looked like she had two or three more days to work on it than anyone else.
  5. This was the first time I've watched the show, and I've got a couple of questions about the judging: 1) Are the judges considering how the makeup/mask will look on film, or just how it looks in the room with them? 2) Is the judging Top-Chef style, where supposedly the contestants have a clean slate each week, or do the judges consider the full body of work when sending someone home?
  6. I admire Jeff Ross for having built an entire career on the back of one joke.
  7. I'm not sure which is worse - Eric Cartman or Eric Forman.
  8. @MarkHB You've got the fairytale part right.
  9. Divorced fairytale characters struggle to create a blended family.
  10. The problem with the "Ripper" part of Giles' origin is that it was just lifted wholesale from John Constantine, and they never really integrated the ideas into the Giles we know and love, instead splitting out all of Constantine's bastardry into Ethan. (I think they later did a much better variation on it with late-Angel era Wesley.) Which isn't to say that I wouldn't love the hell out of a miniseries about Giles transformation from Punk Demonologist to tweedy Watcher.
  11. Doug Benson slightly high probably pretty much equals "as high as you've ever been."
  12. Are we sure that The Player was actually on UPN and not retconned into existence by @UPNTweets?
  13. On the latest Doug Loves Movies, Doug announced that the June 22 show (the 100th episode) will be him, Ron Funches and Nikki Glaser. If you're a fan of DLM, I can't recommend this episode enough.
  14. Ice Cube? I'm guessing Rob Riggle is there to be Mr. Reliable and keep the game moving. -Ah, they're all in 22 Jump Street. Too bad they couldn't get Nick Offerman. They probably could get Jonah Hill, but he'd spend half of the show apologizing for the other half.
  15. Wish Granted! Sansa decides that Westeros' biggest pimp should dress like Westeros' biggest pimp. Now he's decked out in super-wide-brim hats, six-inch platform boots, fur coats and a cane topped with a diamond the size of his fist. Everybody thinks he's totally fly. I wish Arya was reunited with Nymeria.
  16. Right you are, @The Crazed Spruce
  17. I hope this one hasn't already been done: Zombie C**********!
  18. I like the Jeselnik idea. "Panel" vs. "Points!" Or they can wait a couple of months and Jonah Ray will probably qualify.
  19. Well, now that he's no longer in direct competition, how long before Pete Holmes is a guest?
  20. Felix- best gay BFF since Ricky on My So-Called Life? I certainly think so.
  21. Now that's puttin' the pussy on the chain wax!
  22. I'd like to see the origin of some of Triplitts gear, with the occasional gag of everyone freaking out about something that you could pick up at Five Below today. I'd like to see a loose end from Agent Carter picked up in the back half of SHIELD's season, and a time-travel crossover some time around Season 3.
  23. Reports have him as a recurring character, but not a regular.
