FINDING YOUR CONFIDENCE — Macy (Madeleine Mantock) is trying to cope with new her new demon situation by watching a lot of her favorite TV shows, but things take a weird and dangerous turn.  Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Jada (guest star Aleyse Shannon) enlist Niko’s (Ellen Tamaki) help to learn who might be after Jada.  Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) and Parker (Nick Hargrove) decide it is time to take their relationship to the next level, which leads them to make an unusual discovery.  Meanwhile, Mel’s powers seem to be expanding with the guidance of Jada leaving her to question The Elders intentions.  Rupert Evans also stars. Stuart Gillard directed the episode written by Joey Falco (#114).  Original airdate 3/10/2019.

Not necessarily a bad episode but if you are going to do a "90s tv" episode...why not do some fun throwbacks to the original? They could've done the entire episode with the sisters trapped in a 90s tv series with lousy special effects, actual orbing, etc...

Mel can now accelerate time and it's fairly non-nonchalant and can basically master it within 10mins of being shown and of course its because someone else tells her how to? It is a nice change from Pipers molecular combustion (funny that Charmed made Pipers powers into molecular based while NuCharmed which wants to do science makes Mels powers actually time based). I just dont understand why they constantly feel the need to rush seasons of storylines into 15 episodes. I know I am a broken record but I cant help it!

And did we really need to introduce a magical vagina just to cause useless tension just so they could lead up to a steamy sex scene with Maggie/Parker?

Not sure why the "bad boy" angel was saying things like, "You did good...for a girl!"  I don't know what 90s tv shows the writers have watched but as someone who was a teen during the mid and late 90s, I don't recall any characters on teen dramas (or any other show, to be honest) saying anything like that.  Ever.

Also, this episode would have been 1,000 times better if they had actually gotten actors who had been on a 90s supernatural/teen show.  I feel like James Van Der Beek would have done it.

Kind of a fun riff on the 50s movie episode from the original show, with the cheesy 90s show, although it looked like a sort of hybrid of goofy 90s supernatural shows and teen romance love triangle books, with with the good boy and the bad boy and the normal girl in the middle. Not exactly biting commentary (I think it could have been funnier if they were a bit more specific to the time period) but it was cute, and I love when Macy and Harry get plots together.

But, lets be real Charmed, neither you nor your predecessor are any less ridiculous than most of what you were making fun of. I mean, is a magic vagina any more silly than stabbing the devil with his own horn?

I would love a Jada spin off, I think that would be good since I love her character.

I really think that they need to start giving this show like maybe 2 plots per episode, each sister doesnt need to have an independent plot every episode, pair them up more.

I know. Is there anything he wouldn't do these days?

I thought it was another good episode. The guy who played the bad angel was the main protagonist in the Netflix mini series American Vandal. I spent the whole hour trying to figure out where I knew him from.

I actually like the fact that Mel is doing new time-based things with her powers. That's something I always wanted to see Piper do on the original show. (The "molecular manipulation" thing was dumb.) I wonder if at some point Mel could reverse time. That would be cool.

The ratings for this show aren't too great. Surprised it was renewed for a second season, but glad.

I was watching this thinking Macy seemed very single imo . It was almost like galvin is out of sight out of mind . No sense of missing him or worrying imo . She was happily flirting with the angel and I got the sense if harry wasn’t around she would have floated bed with him . She obviously fancies him and wanted them to stay . They cannot try and sell macy and galvin as anything serious or long term especially after this imo.

This episode was kind of a mess and each of the sisters' subplots didn't mesh together in any coherent way.

I also liked the concept of Mel speeding up time to make the potion or to make the ring age.  Though add too many powers and you will start to wonder why they are ever in danger.

The 90s TV show could have been more fun.  That protagonist looked like Buffy.
