Noomi Rapace was dressed remarkably normally for the show. On the red carpet she's kind of a Noted Kook (™ the Fug Girls).

The affection between Judi Dench and Kenneth Branagh was so great to see.

Everyone but Greg Davies looked positively petite next to Anthony Joshua. Hee. Joshua is so charistmatic. I always enjoy his visits.

Noomi is no slouch at physicality, so I was a little miffed she wasn't involved in the contest at all.

That's some serious nose they're making Brannagh wear in the Shakespeare movie!  I think Greg Davies is taller than the boxer!

I am extremely disappointed that Dench is rhyming slang for stench. I mean, it's super logical (hee!).  But still upsetting. Everything about DJD should connote every thing awesome and national treasure.

At least "that's so Dench" still means "that's awesome." Who else would have meanings at both ends of the spectrum?

Was this the one that aired on BBCA this past Friday? A movie bumped the show from my DVR before I had the chance to watch.

Kenneth and Judi have the loveliest relationship.  They clearly think the world of each other; I especially love how protective he is of her.

Dev Patel was the same way when the two of them were promoting their movie. The woman is an international treasure, so I'd be the same way! (I also think her macular degeneration has something to do with it.)

Ken and Judi also have a 30+ year history together to draw from, which is incredibly sweet.  When you see how people hold onto her as they walk together, you realize how bad her eyesight has become.  😞

  I love that for this last film her agent told her Ken wanted to come talk with her about a part and she replied tell him not to come and I’ll do it.

This was a fabulous show. Everyone was so fun and interesting. Graham's sense of humor and teasing of the guests is always great.

There's a story she tells in her memoir of when they were performing on stage together. She injured herself and had to perform one night either on crutches or from a chair (I forget which), and the audience gave her pluck a standing ovation. Underneath the sound of the crowd, KB escorted her down center and said in mock irritation, "That's for you, you midget gimp!" Which of course cracked Judi all the way up.

IIRC, she also tells a story that the first time they worked together (on Ghosts I think), the director made them leave for the day because they kept making each other laugh during a dinner scene.
