Tonight's new episode "Darlene", Season 14, Episode 3 (cable guide still shows season 13).    Here's the cable guide blurb "Experts help a woman regain control of her life and create positive energy in her home.  She has hoarded so many items inside her home that she is forced to sleep under a tarp on her porch in Burnaby, British Columbia."

How can she sleep under a tarp on the porch?  That's not safe, and she can't possibly stay.

That reminds me of the man on  the competitor show who slept outside in Colorado, in Commerce City.   It was on Buried Alive, and his name was Gary.   He show aired about 2012, and died in 2016.

Reminds me of that movie, "My Mother's Garden". Woman hoarded up her house so much she slept in her back yard.

"Alchemize"?? This lady is crackerjacks. And I say that as a Salemite, we are drenched in and surrounded by woo. I respect and appreciate the practitioners of the magical arts. This lady? I don't know. She seems a bit...hectic.

I blinked when she was spinning the pendulum by...spinning it.

She seems a bit manic. She can't sit still. Constantly moving. This is a really sad story.

What does she do for money? Does she have a job of some kind?

She says she's a makeup artist for films.

She does makeup for the entertainment industry.

This girl is trapped in the age that she was when she was caring for her mother. She acts like she's about 11 or 12.

She said she was 6 when her mother's MS got to where she needed constant care. Darlene seems to be stuck there.

Thank you. I obviously missed her saying that.  I'm vibrating just watching her. Like her manic energy is coming through the TV.

The hoarder has to sign the waivers, and filming permission.    I'm sorry to say this, but I have zero hope for change in this episode.

Poor Julio looks shocked by Darlene living outside, but I doubt that's going to change.   Darlene is churning, and that's not a good sign.

Sarah and Julio seem hopeful, but that won't last for long.  Hoarding Cleanup and Julio are going to be wasted on this.

Damn she is already having a melt down

What does she want to happen? I can't figure out what she  means by "nobody checked on me". The crew arrived. The helpers arrived. Where did checking on her come in?

Bring on the hunks who haul junk!

Looks like these haulers may have been ordered from WISH.

I can't either. Like did she want an engraved invitation to come outside? Did she want everyone to come in and escort her out?

Oh my god this poor girl is a WRECK. "Nobody came in till she came in. And you came in". So, someone came in? And checked on you? Like you wanted? But since a crew who's paid to be there is respecting your privacy is waiting for you outside, they're not there for you emotionally? Yikes.

I come from a family that does not check on each other...to the point where when one of us slipped up and checked on somebody (like, I checked on my now-late mother before she was late, during a hurricane) we got told to mind our business.

I can't imagine waiting for someone to check on me, or expecting it. What would they be checking for?

How does this woman function in the world? How does she order a coffee at Dunkin Donuts? "How does this menu work? How can I understand the process? All I want is a double espresso! How do I go about getting one? I don't understand, it make no sense! Will someone support me and explain to me how I go about this?"

Well, jeez, Darlene, maybe if you'd shut your wittering trap for five seconds someone could explain things to you.

How does she pay her bills? She's not overwhelmed by that?

Why would any hoarder trust the cast of Hoarders? Clearly they are there to take the hoard away from the hoarder.

Sometimes they think they're there to "help them organize" their crap.
