The bigger question -- how long before she ends up inside the Dome ? Despite Hektor revealing more about the Dome’s origins and helping to strike back at it Sounds like more retconning. CBS entertainment chairman Nina Tassler told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s press tour on Monday that — spoiler alert — the dome is coming down. “The Dome is coming down at the end of this season,” Tassler confirmed. So Chester’s Mill residents will be free, it seems. But the question is: Does this mean the show will end? Under the Dome was originally conceived as a single-season limited series, but producers have figured out ways to stretch the story across three seasons now. CBS has not made a decision about whether Dome will get a fourth season. We’re told the finale has some major events beyond the Dome coming down. Also, we’re told producers have written the finale to serve as a potential series finale or a season finale — there is at least one element that opens up a new path how the story could continue. “[The dome coming down] opens up a host of other storytelling opportunities, you just don’t know what will happen when the dome comes down,” Tassler said. Also still under renewal consideration: The ratings-challenged Extant, which saw its viewership drop sharply during this summer’s second season. Unless they're straight out lying, it seems the dome might be gone if this is true. If the Dome actually comes down, everyone will probably be arrested -- mostly for murder -- since Aktaion has really awesome video surveillance of the Dome events. Like back in S1 when Big Jim murdered the reverend at the Dome wall by shoving his head complete with hearing aid into the wall and killing him. The military even has video of that -- and back then Big Jim didn't want the Dome to come down because of the all the killing he had done to that point, and he has murdered plenty more since then. needschocolate August 18, 2015 Share August 18, 2015 (edited) I stay away from spoiler threads (I won't even touch my presents before it is time to open them because I don't want to risk spoiling the surprise), but the temptation was too great and I had to check out this thread. I was curious as to how can there be spoiler info when the writers don't know what is going on. I get it now, these aren't spoilers as in "you will find out 'who done it'"or "it will spoil the ending" - these are spoilers as is "look what crazy stuff they are going to come up with next" Even if someone posted information on how they will get the dome down, it wouldn't mean anything, because the writers would just have Godzilla rise up out of the lake and plop down another dome, or have some never-before-seen Chesters Mill resident flip a switch that creates a new dome, or have it be the dome working its visual effects magic again, or something else just as loony. Despite the dead animals near the Dome wall last episode, even if the Dome fully calcifies it would still take a long time to use up all the oxygen in the Dome. What I still don't get is why calcification ? Where is all the calcium coming from ? Because the Dome seems to be energy based (shorts out anything electrical that comes close to it) and is porous enough to let gases and tiny water particles through.
