I'm slowly working my way through the first season. The show really is something special. I can't see how this kind of story should have worked but man Piper's face when she sees the chicken in the window while she's on the phone - ha! And what a bizarrely cute song there at e end credits.

My favorite episode of season 1. I did a rewatch of the season this week to prepare for season 2. Just thinking about this ep. makes me giggle. I was almost ROFL'ing while watching it again.

 I'm hoping this one gets nominated for an Emmy.  It seems like one of the stand out contenders for screenplay as it was a fan favorite and got some of the strongest reviews, iirc.

How'd they get a dog for the chicken hunt?  That was the craziest thing.

 

Such a shame that the children all want that lousy mother's attention and approval.

Was this really a fan favorite?  I'm disappointed that the chicken wasn't real.  I did like the song at the end.
