Honestly I don't know how involved they are except that the inlaws used to come for extended lengths of time and stay with them and they have travelled together.  Kelly has said she is involved with her parents but her mother and sister hate the limelight and don't like to be photographed.  Now, we can say well Kelly isn't friends with these celebrities anymore.  Okay.  But, in my head, I can't get to the place where she and Mark are not involved in a lot of ways with their elderly parents.  Remember both sets of parents have been married for a very long time.  Mark and Kelly have been married for a very long time by "celebrity" standards.  There have been rumors of him cheating, him "pinging", etc.  Meanwhile they are still together and family oriented and whatever they do on the show from what I know about them, they are involved in the way they want/need to be and just because we don't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening.  Also, if they did show a lot then it would be "Kelly can't keep the camera out of the faces of her aging parents/inlaws"  This has nothing to do with what people complain about her on the show.  I don't watch often but I am less aggravated by all of it.  It isn't real life. Their ratings are high enough to warrant a new studio and spendy contracts.  Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but, a lot of folks watch, even if for the train wreck, it counts.

I found Dr. Li's segment very informative.  Lots of info I already knew but was curious about the Chinese black vinegar.  Kellllmeeee was too, and if she could have gotten the cap off, I think she would have guzzled the whole bottle on air.  Thankfully, she couldn't quite get the cap off, MARK CONSUELOS!!!! also shut her down, but I guess she's looking for a quick fix to get those pesky 12 lbs. off that she gained during her sobriety, lol.

She's a hoot!

Agreed @NYCRunner, when she walked out I could not believe how skinny she was.  She really is no longer 'thin,' she is painfully 'skinny.'  Her pants were probably a size 00 but yet they hung on her and the blouse just hung on her too.

I'm all for being healthy, fit and trim but she looks like a walking ad for an eating disorder.  And then she has to add when talking to the Dr. that her brain is always telling her body that she's hungry....I couldn't help it, I said out loud, "that's because you're starving yourself."

To each their own but I think she is treading on very thin ice with her health, jmo.

Maybe/probably she does have an eating disorder.  It is hard to know if her family has tried addressing that with her.  I don't know much about them, but the little I know is that they are very hard to treat and conquer.  It isn't as easy as just eating a burger.

Absolutely true; eating disorders are classified as a mental illness and depending on the severity, some can be overcome and others cannot.  Karen Carpenter is an example of how her mental illness contributed to her untimely death.

Kelly barked at Mark today for not reading the news clippings before the show but a few minutes earlier she apologized for not doing the same. Ugh, I just can't stand her. And Mark is already counting the weeks (6!) til their next Mustique vacation when he can once again get his golden leathery tan. One in the 26 weeks of vacation they get at Live, working 3 days a week.

I saw that too @NYCRunner and couldn't believe she called him out on that when she does that every.single.day.  Listening and watching her read her news clippings is painful; the amount of dead air is astonishing and I can't believe they let her get away with it.

Mark stumbling through the news clipping was embarassing for him, I thought, because he clearly didn't know what he was supposed to say, he tried skimming the article, and then Gelman yapping off to the side with the correct information made for a very awkward segment.  Kellmeeee's laziness is rubbing off on him and it's a bad look for the both of them.

He is barely playing the Stump Mark segment, for me, part of the appeal was his banter with the contestant, now he just gives the answer.  Ok, we get it, you and the Mrs. think it's a dumb segment.

Also, looks like Kellllmeeee is drawing from her mom's closet for her wardrobe choices.  I think I wore those tie blouses in the 80's??  She seems to love them and the jeans/pants were hideous, imo.

I don't know how to pick specific quotes, lol, but couldn't agree more with you on everything, Finnzup! She came out today and I thought before I even read your post, she is dressed like someone going to a 1970's/80's office job. Horrendous. She needs a new wardrobe stylist, hair stylist and makeup artist.

Also, I sensed some impatience from Mark today with her trying to spit out words. He seemed so annoyed ex., skiing story. There was another point also but don't recall the details.

I did feel very bad for Kelly about Chewy, had tears because I have a dog and can't imagine the pain. You could tell she was heartbroken. And Mark was so supportive. He really stepped up today. Loved that.

The grieving period is officially over, so I'm back to business as usual.

I'm not the only viewer noticing Kelllmeeee's awful wardrobe.  The Live!'s FB page is full of comments about this awful red and black dress she wore today.  Not only does she wear the same hideous outfits on a five-day rotation, but they also don't even fit her anymore.  This red monstrosity hangs on her like so much loose fabric (ugly fabric at that.)

I would really like to know if she no longer has a stylist and if tptb did away with her clothing allowance?  She really doesn't seem to be 'in' to her fashion choices anymore and just throws on whatever is back from the dry cleaners.  MARK CONSUELOS!!!! has more outfits in his arsenal than she does, lol.

And, obtw, crap chat is back to being the crap that it is.  My goodness, if you're going to stumble through reading news clippings, at least make them interesting.  I'm so happy to learn the top 5 Romantic States, who knew??  And frankly, who cares?? lol

The first thing I thought when they walked out was OMG, that horrific red & black sack again?? She used to dress so nicely back in the early days! She dresses like an old lady, schoolmaster, going to work 9-5 @ a law firm back in the 80's. She needs to cut her hair too. Same old boring style for way too long. Anyway, back to the clothing, she could have access to the most gorgeous clothes and a fancy tailor as well. I don't get it at all. Mark looks really sharp all of the time & you're right, finnzup, he definitely has more outfits than her. 
Crap chat is beyond painful. Lots of awkward silence with only German laughing lol. And one last thing, they had someone on earlier in the week talking about the stages of love. Oh my, Kelly made the segment all about her & Mark's perfect relationship & their perfect children. Nauseating.

Yes and yes to it all @NYCRunner  I had to highlight the above because I walked through the room as Kelllmeeee was pontificating about her perfect relationship with her immortal beloved!  Omg, she was so smug about it all; from the moment they laid eyes on each other, they had it all together.  And yes, nauseating, lol.

Watching Kelly & Mark talk with Harry Hamlin & Lisa Rinna . Lisa asked how long have you guys been together? Mark answers 28 years. Kelly snaps at him 'what are you talking about'? And he says oh, I mean married. She can be so cruel toward him. You could see the look on his face and he seemed so defeated. I just do not like her at all. Her immortal beloved who she loves to cut down constantly.

Yes!  For the moment, she forgot herself and really pounced on him.  For me, it was uncomfortable to watch and I felt bad for MARK CONSUELOS!!!!  And seriously, what's the big deal??  It's not like he had no idea how long they've been married.  It's that weird competition thing she has going on with everyone.  Was it the fact that she thought they were together longer than Harry and Lisa?  What was the trigger for her?

The hottest ticket in town and Kelly and Mark were not invited. I watched the SNL 50th Anniversary special and saw her nemesis Jessica Seinfeld in the audience. Kelly must have been seething to have not received a ticket.  She was probably in Michigan helicopter parenting her youngest child or perhaps in Mustique rubbing elbows with the stars trying to tell them that she was above celebrating SNL's anniversary.

Too funny Onefineday!! I was shocked that they were live today given it was Presidents Day. The pics of Kelly in Palm Springs, oh my, they said it was warm and rainy but she is covered up like it is 20 degrees in her baggy outfit. Also bragging that she hiked 11 miles in the rain. What in the world?? She is so emaciated, it is painful to look at her. Her teeth take over her whole face now. Please, for the love of God, Mark, step in and treat your wife to a burger.

I wondered why they weren't in on the celebrating of SNL's 50th anniversary too.  In fact, they didn't even mention it which I thought was very odd.  When I saw Jessica and Jerry Seinfeld, I wondered if Kelllmeee and MARK CONSUELOS!!! were in the audience too.  Still would love to know what happened between those two.  I remember when they were so, so close, Kelllmeee even referred to Jessica S. as her 'sister' from another mister, lol.  

I'm thinking that maybe they're looking for real estate in Palm Springs and maybe searching for their 'retirement' home, lol.

I noticed the 11 mile hike Kelllmeee bragged about....she's just so annoying when she brags about herself.   I'm waiting for the day when she says she worked out with her son's wrestling team.  She's very strong, in case you didn't know, lol.

There have been almost 900 hosts on SNL over 50 years.  Mrs Consuelos hosted once, over two decades ago.  The NBC studio audience was capped at somewhere around 500.  It's hardly a shocker that she wasn't there.

Regis and Joy would show up at the opening of a doorway.  Los Consuelos jet off to spend their millions.  Different time, different personalities, different era, different priorities.

Yes, Live is syndicated and appears on NBC stations, but ABC is the syndicator. I'm sure ABC brass wouldn't be all that pleased even if she finagled a couple seats.  They are all in on promoting ABC and the Oscars, not SNL.

Plus, as much as I enjoyed the SNL50 bash show, I'd also prefer a weekend getaway to PS.

Saw the beginning of today's show and I have one question.  I want to know when they have their EP meetings and discuss the show, guests, etc., different segments, do they still refer to the first 15 minutes or so of the show as "host chat."  There is absolutely no 'chatting' going on unless Kelllmeee decides to rip her husband a new one; the entire beginning of the show should be called "Innocuous news articles about ridiculous things that Kelly Ripa attempts to read."

Her readings are painful to watch, you know she is reading them for the very first time, her eyes are darting all over the page even though they've highlighted her talking points and yet she still struggles, stutters, says, "I don't know" and we end up with nothing that is neither useful nor humorous, imo.  The person that seems to find the most humor is, of course, Gelman, who can be heard laughing hysterically on the side.

Today's news clipping readings were particularly painful because there was no segue other than some ridiculous question about China and Mark answering something like, "no, tell me." 

Both of them are phoning it in big time and I for one, find it insulting, lol.

Yes, Kelly reading the news clippings is soooo painful to watch. She is trying to spit words out & Mark is losing patience and twitching around. Can't say I blame him. He at least tries to speak off the cuff but she won't have any of it. Staring him down, berating him. Her smoker's voice annoys me too lol. Not that I think she smokes (I know she did years ago). Her vocal chords are probably damaged after all these years on Live. Need to find that off button, lol.

Back in the day Regis would show the front and back page of the New York Post and talk for 20 minutes about and the audience would be dying laughing. Kelly and Mark are always looking down to read what’s in front of them and it’s beyond painful. It’s downright embarrassing. Mark can at least put a sentence together but Kelly stammers, hems and haws like a stupid person who has never read before. That said, she’s making 20 million dollars and working 3 days a week doing this gig so who’s the dumb one?!
