My god. ?No wonder Amber is so delusional about what a fierce, independent boss woman she is. This show made the whole promo around it. The producers are probably the ones feeding these girls all this crap and making them think they are more than they are. No wonder most of them are out of control. 

I can just see the producers kissing Amber's ass and telling her, "No, you're not a bad mom! You're awesome! You're a mother effin' boss! Look at the amazing legacy you're leaving Leah. I mean you even started off this entire series! It's all because of you!" And then there goes any kind of self reflection or self awareness Amber may have had after prison.

Most of these girls were messed up from the get go but these producers have stepped and really helped create the over inflated monster egos we see today.

I see your point. All of these girls had issues, but most of them (perhaps not Amber because I think she’s the most far gone), would’ve tempered them because they would’ve had to work and live in NORMAL society just to get by. I think Catelynn is the best example of this. Had Teen Mom never taken off she would probably be working full time, because she would’ve had to just to survive. I also think April would be out of her life because April wouldn’t have had the finacial incentive to stick around and after the hurtful things she said around Carly’s adoption Catelynn may have cut her loose.

Oh, I totally agree. I don't think catelynn and April would've had a relationship at all. I don't think Butch would be around either. Those two definitely made a quick turn around once the big checks started coming in. They started acted real sweet to Tyler and Cate. No more name calling and bitching about the adoption. They knew what they were doing. Those two are trash, and I wish Tyler and Cate had just cut them out of their lives. Instead they're not only keeping them in their lives but slowly turning into them, what with them partying and getting wasted right in front of Nova.

Does he really make that much money? I wonder about his story. I wonder if he was one of those dads that didn't come around until later in the child's life. It doesn't seem like he helped raise her at all. And it seems like, he's only around now because he likes that she's "famous". I could be wrong about him though. I don't actually know anything about their past.

@AmandaUnbidden as far as Catelynn’s Dad, she did know him, but he was never involved in raising her. It was his parents with whom she lived in FL when April was completely drugged out (Catelynn was 13-14 at this time). I don’t know if April begged to get her back because she was pregnant with Nick at the time and wanted a babysitter or her grandparents became ill.

@Scarlett45 So he didn't really raise her then. Just as I thought. I don't think he would be around much either then if the show never happened. 

I just knew he must not have helped raise her or even really know her on a personal level with him saying that    crap about her working at the Ford House making a 100,000 like him. That statement shows just how out of touch he is with who his daughter really is.

Catelynn....whose ass is fused to the couch,suffers from anxiety and depression when the slightest ounce of responsibility comes her way....would never make it in an auto factory working 12 hours on an assembly line!  Lots of people would be lined up outside Ford Auto if the starting pay was a hundred grand a year.  And if that's the kind of money this man is making where the f*** was he when Cate was growing up and had nowhere to live?  Did April get child support?  Someone making a hundred grand a year would be shelling out some serious money to support any children.

Did anyone see the clip of Ryan, Mackenzie, and Hudson? Ryan talks about getting a drug test done so he can see Bentley. I watched it yesterday, and now I forget where I saw it to link it, lol!

Well said! Totally agree. It's possible that April spent his support checks on meth, but I'd say the more likely scenario is he didn't contribute a dime to taking care of her needs while she was a minor and is full of shit when it comes to his own earning power.
