As leisurely as her writing is, it will take dozens of books to get to the end of their lives.

So.  I’m up to date on the show, and I’m in book 3- still hunting for Ian.  DG’s books would be half as thick if she just didn’t over describe everything.  And I do mean everything. Pages and pages of the mangrove that Claire waded through to get to the shore.  It’s boring.  I like the show much better. Especially since Murtagh survived Culloden in the show.

I just said that in the episode thread. Laura was a warmer Jenny.

Warmer and more feisty.  I noticed the comment from 2022 and it said we know that the person we saw outside the inn where Frank and Claire were staying was Jamie's ghost.  Do we all know this?  how?

Diana Gabaldon ( the book’s author) has confirmed that is who it is.

So far, it hasn't been mentioned in the novels, either.  It's come up in interviews, and Diana has posted this in the FAQ page on her website:

The ghost is Jamie–but as for how it fits into the story, All Will Be Explained–in the last book.

So, now you know everything that anyone (except Diana) knows.  And possibly Sam Heughan.  I feel like I may have read somewhere that she told him something about the ending.  But don't quote me on that :-)

Count me out! I tried that once, then realized that I canNOT relive the BJR episodes, I have too much trauma from watching those. No thank you.

It's not just forgetting what's happened last season, it also ends up with me not caring very much anymore about a show that used to be so good for a few seasons, then got too full of itself and thought it could make viewers wait a year or more for the next season and we'd still care just as much. Yeah, no.
