jodie September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 I knew Pompeyo family would get cut again. I knew diabolo would go through. I'm just hoping Darci wins. I saw on extra evie's father died. Those people in abistnithe were hot. Link to comment
halopub September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 Phew. I was a bit worried for Mandy since her performance currently has less than half the Youtube views of Angelica and Celine. The jazz singer offers both finely honed technique and emotional tenor - it'll be interesting to see if she goes with more original material next week. She instagrammed a clip of her learning Grace's single so I wouldn't be surprised by a duet during the results show. I'm ambivalent at best towards the rest of this week's finalists and would be totally okay with a final three grouping of Mandy, Darci and The Super Collies. Link to comment
dingochick September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 Boo, I liked Merrick, he was fun to watch. Ok with other results. 4 Link to comment
RedSoxRock September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 I knew Ketchie was fine because even if she didn't win the Dunkin Save the judges would have voted her in. Link to comment
ProAc September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 Not really surprised by the results. Kechis back story gets a lot of votes. Angelica got the prime spot so tptb got what they wanted. No surprise that the dog act got the boot. Never should have been brought back in the first place. I thought Merrick might get thru on the cute young man factor but alas his act wore thin. I'm pretty happy with the finals except for Puddles not making it. Darci is probably the odds-on favorite to win for sure. Link to comment
saber5055 September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 I liked all three Dunkin Saves, but voted for Kechi even though I don't like singers being on this show. I figured the other two acts would be able to find work after AGT while Kechi needed the show more. So yeay, America agreed with me. I'm shocked! I also would have preferred to see MORE of Absinthe and a WHOLE LOT LESS of Heidi jacking with Simon and the teepee. Geesh, show, I watch to see the acts, not the judges being dorks. Link to comment
anthonyd46 September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 (edited) Only one that surprised me was Celine not in the save choices at all. I figured if Colin was against Diavolo no way the judges were picking Colin and they didn't. So its Darci, Preacher, Sara & Hero, Chase, Evie, Angelica, Mandy, Light Balance, Kechi, and Diavolo as the final 10. 5 singers (Chase, Evie, Angelia, Mandy, Kechi) 2 Dance/Variety (Light Balance, Diavolo) 1 Comedian (Preacher) 1 Ventriloquist (Darci) Sarah and Hero Golden Buzzers still in: Darci - Mel B Mandy - Simon Light Balance - Tyra Angelica - Chris Hardwick Chase - DJ Khaled 2 of the 3 times a golden buzzer has won AGT. Marlon Wayns picked Paul. Howie picked Grace. 50% chance of it happening this time. Edited September 14, 2017 by anthonyd46 Link to comment
Lonesome Rhodes September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 Celine got hammered by AGT machinations. Not even Dunkin-eligible? Wow. Diavolo no better than 4th favorite in voting? Really? Ameriker was on drugs. Colin is too freaky looking and his manner is off-putting. No surprise, but he should have made it over at least one of the singers, and Preacher, for sure. He totally threw Howie off his game with the reveal of the phone code. Dude was never himself all last night. Heck, Mirror Image has an argument to advance past Preacher! The Dunkin behind the scenes segment was arguably the most lame evah. But, Mel B in that outfit (not her hair get up) was hawwwwwwwt. The Tyra and Simon sit with kids package was just awful. I fervently hope that Darci wins it over the Monarch of the sob stories, whomever that would be. I believe Evie will be no worse than Runner-Up. 1 Link to comment
Ellee September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 (edited) A couple of comments and a question or two. Maybe if Tyra wore a dress that would cover her private parts maybe she wouldn't stand pigeon-toed on the stage. Petty I know. Christian had said that his eyesight changes when he was under stress. Celine helping him walk forward to his spot was a nice moment. Was Simon acting all 'what is she doing' one of those 'real' reality tv moments? Speaking of Christian ... loved him coming back to give Angelica a quick hug and kiss on the head. Yes, I'm a sap and I believe it was a true moment. From what I've read, TPTB have told Evie that it is up to her whether she performs in the finale and that she could come back next season. Do you think Colin (since he was next in line for DS) would then be allowed to perform? Or would it be a judges' decision as to the act that would fill her place? Do they usually stick to the 10 acts or do the judges bring back an act(s)? ETA: I realize it's Simon's show but is everything always Simon-centric? First time watcher. jodie September 14, 2017 Share September 14, 2017 The filler stuff with the behind the scenes with the judges is nonsense. The results show should be a half hour. Why drag out the results for the contestants.? Whose kids were Tyra sitting with? Link to comment

Before that it was one week Top 12 then 6 were eliminated and a top 6 for the final with everyone performing twice (one act they did previously and one new). Some years even had only 4 acts in the final, but the show was only an hour instead of two. Some years had a wildcard round. I think all this stuff was at the most though brought back for the semi finals. I don't think a wildcard has ever been put in the finals if they were eliminated before it. Its possible if Evie doesn't perform someone will and I think the most fair would be to give it to either Colin or Eric Jones as they were next in line in the DS choices that didn't make it. 1 Link to comment

The main point is that Preacher does not belong in the final - especially if that means Colin gets shut out. Just my opinion. 2 Link to comment
ProAc September 15, 2017 Share September 15, 2017 Preacher is awful. I don't see what exactly the judges see in him? I see funnier people on open mic night at any comedy club. 1 Link to comment

helenamonster September 15, 2017 Share September 15, 2017 Three acts this time that sailed through quarters and were quickly eliminated in semis: Celine, In the Stairwell, and Merrick. There's no love lost between me and In the Stairwell but I am a little surprised about Celine and bummed (but not totally surprised) about Merrick. A little surprised about Christian but he was in the Dunkin Save last time so it makes some sense. And the Pompeyo Family didn't even clear the Dunkin Save bar last time and were brought back as a wild card; combine that with last night's act being a total mess and they didn't have a prayer. So of the ten finalists, six have never needed a Dunkin save: Angelica, Darci, Light Balance, Mandy, Preacher, Sara&Hero. The winner will most likely be one of these six and four others will clear the Top Five. My prediction: 6. Preacher lumped into the bottom five with the others. 5. Light Balance 4. Mandy 3/2: Either Angelica or Sara&Hero 2/1: Either Sara&Hero or Darci On 9/14/2017 at 6:01 AM, Ellee said: Christian had said that his eyesight changes when he was under stress. They know he has vision problems. But the moment of Celine, who is younger than him and much smaller, helping him to his spot was incredibly sweet. The lead dancer from Just Jerk did the same in the quarter finals. It's nice to see that even if this is a competition, there is genuine respect among the acts for each other. I've mentioned before that I'm sure a lot of them become great friends. Link to comment
anthonyd46 September 15, 2017 Share September 15, 2017 As I said in another post no one from a dunkin save the performance before the finals has ever won. I don't see it being any different this year either. Best " sort of save" finish was Taylor, but that was a Judges choice before Dunkin/Snapple saves existed. Other than that the best official save finish was Sons of Serendip 4th. Link to comment
