Athena June 5, 2017 Share June 5, 2017 Quote Graham is joined by heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua, Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz, starring in new film My Cousin Rachel, the hilarious Greg Davies from Man Down, Sherlock and Hobbit star Martin Freeman talking about his West End political comedy Labour of Love and Shawn Mendes, who performs There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back. sugarbaker design June 8, 2017 Share June 8, 2017 I thought the couch looked awful light, so I checked the BBC website, it also lists Greg Davies (always a scream) and Martin Freeman as guests on this particular episode. 2 Link to comment

I do find that they do these bookings or confirmations last minute because the episode descriptions are from the BBC website as well. 1 Link to comment

attica June 18, 2017 Share June 18, 2017 This was a good group! I thought it was great that everybody kept the 'I slipped' reference going all show. Joshua was charming giving boxing lessons, and cute spoiling the red chair story. I'm meh in general over Mendes, so that wasn't value added. I was relieved to learn that Martin is a lefty, because I'd seen something suggesting the contrary earlier in the week, and I didn't want to believe it. 5 Link to comment
msrachelj June 18, 2017 Share June 18, 2017 i really enjoyed this episode. it has not been so great lately. but this couch had good chemistry. they could do away with the musical guest as far as i'm concerned . i don't like 99% of them and they waste time better had on humor. 4 Link to comment
Bruinsfan June 18, 2017 Share June 18, 2017 I was really surprised that Martin Freeman outdid Rachel Weisz on that boxing machine—I still think of her as an action heroine from the Mummy movies. Though after his score I wondered if the machine would need another digit for Anthony Joshua's punch. Link to comment
dubbel zout June 18, 2017 Share June 18, 2017 I thought Graham did another good job of acknowledging a horrible event without totally bringing the evening down. Ugh, and he'll have to do it again for the Grenfell Tower fire. It was a good couch. It's so obvious when the show is just another stop on the PR train, like it was for Cruise last week. (Even though he's been on the show before and knows the drill, he tries SO HARD. Relax, Tom.) This show had that naturalness this week that I really enjoyed. I can't believe Greg Davies's poster had to be censored for Amazon! I suppose I should be happy that the no-nipple policy applies across the board, and not just to women, but sheesh. Pocket-size Martin Freeman comes on and I died. 3 Link to comment
ChicagoCita June 19, 2017 Share June 19, 2017 Apparently I'm too pure of thought (cough) because I couldn't decipher what was bleeped when Graham was talking about Trump's twitter feed. Anyone remember? Link to comment

peeayebee June 20, 2017 Share June 20, 2017 Great ep. Everyone clicked, was funny, and was attentive. No one seemed distracted when the conversation wasn't centered on him/her. My one complaint was that there wasn't enough of Martin Freeman. I enjoyed as much of him as we got, but I wish they would have talked about something else also. I don't keep up on boxing, but that guy was great. I sometimes had to concentrate to understand what he was saying, but he was charming and down to earth. Lots of fun all around. 1 Link to comment

I work with an Englishwoman, she's in the next cubicle. When she infrequently uses the "T" word, I can't help but crack up! I may be in my 50's, but my sense of humor is in the sixth grade.
