I'm out on this one as I find it so heavily scripted it's annoying. Reading about it here will be just fine.

I'm out... Katie's constant complaining and her shrill voice is just too much! I'll miss her friends, the son, and Anna Kat.

Why is *EVERYONE-IN-THE-NEIGHBORHOOD rich except them ? How did they get there ?

They moved there because they wanted to have better schools for Anna Kat. They rent the house from a landlady who gives them a break and rents below market rate because she likes them.

It's also not terribly uncommon in certain parts of Connecticut for there be big McMansions and smaller SFHs  a block or so away from each other, or even on the same block.

Yeah, like my house in Connecticut.  When I tell people where I live they assume I'm rich and live in a huge McMansion because of the neighborhood, but I'm far from rich and live in a modest 1500 square foot ranch.

I didnt like how verbally abusive Katie was to her kids. And controlling. You can be a good, effective mom without being so overbearing and mean.
