As much as I love the Luke/Rory moments, I'm going to go with 7 for the win. It speaks volumes to me that Richard knew that even though it had sat in their house for 20+ years, that dollhouse was special to Lorelai and he just quietly took steps around Emily's passive-aggressive temper tantrum and made sure Lorelai got it.

I do love the moments between Lorelai and Richard but I just found myself going awww when Rory said that about Luke. Plus, Luke's expression was priceless

Same! I did like the Richard/Lorelai moment but when Rory introduced Luke as her stepfather to be, I think Rory wanted to show Luke that she accepted him into their family. So sweet! I recently watched it again and I still went awwww! :D

I'm not sure if Richard had altruistic reasons for bringing over the dollhouse. As far as I'm concerned it was simply an excuse for him to try and force Lorelai to adopt his new plan for rehabilitating Rory.

And Rory introducing Luke was so sweet. I recall an audible awww in my living room.

Lol, Kohola, I had this same opinion typed out and ready to post the other day. I deleted it figuring why ruin other people's aww moment...lol. But I'm glad you brought it up. I think he totally had ulterior motives. He's an interesting character and important to the show...also very funny at times....but calculating as all get out.

It could also be argued he knew his daughter well enough to know she wouldn't even speak to him if he didn't come bearing some sort of "gift". ;)

This may be a duplicate to or part of 16, but the look between Luke and Lorelai in the closing scene told the whole story of them being back together. We haven't seen that much happiness between them since S5.

Chris sets up the "drive in theater" for a date with Lorelai and plays Funny Face so they can watch a movie they don't hate -- S'Wonderful, S'Marvelous
