Keaghlan would be wise to learn from Melissa. Ive been saying this for weeks now! Melissa is an outstanding artist, I follow her on FB and her creations are just so damn amazing! Her only real problem vis a vis theatrical makeup is she has a problem with facial symmetry, you'll see it over and over in her work but sometimes it works. This time though, that robot head was wonky from it and her paint job couldnt save it (well, it kept them "safe" but only just) but seriously Keaghlan, whattheeverlovingfuck?!?!?!? 1 Link to comment
enoughcats March 11, 2017 Share March 11, 2017 Has there been an article about how the pairs were selected, annointed, glued together by accident? The dating couple was easy. Some of the others they just glossed over in that first intro episode. Link to comment

I've been wondering that too, but Cig and George seem to have picked each other, and I kind of got that from Ben and Evan too. I totally agree with everyone else about how excited Tyler was for Emily to get that credit, they're so cute together. They seem to be actual friends, too. 2 Link to comment
sourpickles March 11, 2017 Share March 11, 2017 I may actually have a crush on Tyler. Ssshhh, don't tell Mr. Pickles ;). I read an article somewhere that said the producers let them pick who they wanted to team with. I'll see if I can find it. 1 Link to comment

I'm just rewatching season 7 or 8. In an early episode Cig and George were paired together and the result was head and shoulders above the rest. I can believe they chose each other. enoughcats March 12, 2017 Share March 12, 2017 From the links above (which are excellent) Quote One thing that’s not shown on screen every week: “a consultation with the wardrobe and the art department” to costume their characters and provide a prop. “We have an amazing wardrobe team who basically creates all the costumes for all the makeups in a little over 24 hours,” Smith said. Some costumes are hand-made, while others are rented. I asked if they’d ever considered showing that process—I’d love to see some of it, at least—and he said, “It’s tricky. In season one we actually shot and were going to include it in the show.” However, while “the judges will sometimes be critical of an artists’ wardrobe choice,” it’s not something the contestants are technically being judged on, and thus is excluded. I wish they had considered making this an online offering, their version of Survivor's Ponderosa. I'd watch and I think a lot of textile arts people might, also. 5 Link to comment
lilwhitelion March 12, 2017 Share March 12, 2017 Thank you Sour Pickles for those links. I loved hearing that Gage wanted to do some projects with Rachel when he found out they were paired. He invited her to join him on work he did in Brazil and in LA, so they could see how they each create. He also said this about himself: I also have a really odd sense of humor and the one that really picked up on that was Ben Ploughman. Ben is the more silent jokester, and I’m like the really loud jokester. Glad to hear that Ben is a jokester, as he just seems so beaten down now. 3 Link to comment
Tara Ariano March 13, 2017 Share March 13, 2017 In case you missed it, here's the Previously.TV post on the episode! Face Off Picks A Master Of Puppets What if Pinocchio were made of metal or leather instead of wood? Turns out he'd be really creepy! Link to comment
enoughcats March 13, 2017 Share March 13, 2017 Is there a picture of the rodeo clown from the back? I'd really like to see how they handled the rest of the 'hair'. Link to comment
hilaryvm March 16, 2017 Share March 16, 2017 I'm surprised that stonemason immediately equaled something that looked like crude rock. I mean, most statues are made of rock, so why not make something out of marble? It doesn't have to be blunt stone that's barely formed...unless the maker is a really bad stonemason. 2 Link to comment

I've been reading the Face Off subreddit, and Ben made a comment that he and Evan were in a really bad place during the challenge and considered walking away. He wouldn't elaborate (nor should he be required to), but he did say it was not due to the challenge. 2 Link to comment
