ElectricBoogaloo February 8, 2017 Share February 8, 2017 Quote Jessica is disappointed to learn that she is excluded from the Neighborhood Watch, because she has a reputation of not being a team player. But when Ann's son goes missing, Jessica proves that her independent security measures work better than everyone else's. Meanwhile, Eddie sets the stage for the perfect first kiss with Alison, on a special Valentine's Day-themed episode of ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat." Link to comment
biakbiak February 8, 2017 Share February 8, 2017 Wait they have been "dating" for over a year and haven't kissed? I guess I was a fast kid! 1 Link to comment
ElectricBoogaloo February 9, 2017 Author Share February 9, 2017 I can only hope that we will get to hear NWA during this episode! That sounds like the kind of Valentine's Day soundtrack that Eddie and Alison would enjoy. Link to comment
Michel February 15, 2017 Share February 15, 2017 Favorite two exchanges: Trent: (Taking out a knife.) Now, we're both gonna cut our hands and join our blood so we never forget this bond of shared secrets.Eddie: (Immediately after.) I'm not doing that. And also . . . Trent: (Takes out another knife.) Now, we're both gonna cut our hands and join our blood --Eddie: Dude, stop. Hudson actually nailed his delivery and Eddie's incredulous reactions both times. The kid's really getting better.:) Even though more crazy hijinks resulted from Louis and Jessica's stunts, the resolution of their storyline was very sweet. And I had a feeling that the way little Peter was dressed was going to lead into another "Where's Waldo?" reference. Emery and Grandma's story didn't do much for me, but I did like the twist that it wasn't Grandma's money Emery had found, but simply Evan's. Funny episode.:) 4 Link to comment

I thought that was great. It wasn't underlined. Louis said they'd never find him, and immediately Jessica says, "There he is." Loved it. I also love Bryson. BTW, is "Corporal" actually correct? Anyway, when Jessica made the comment that nobody does a good job anymore, the way Bryson said, "I just got a promotion actually? Anyway…" was perfect and cracked me up. I liked that Jessica really tried to be a team player and that Louis wanted to make things better for her. I was surprised when Emory found Grandma's money box, so I'm glad it turned out to be Evan's, or actually the HOA's. Glad Eddie got his kiss. Trent really should have given him the Heimlich. Trent was cracking me up at the lunch table. Love all the friends. Trent: Eddie! It's not a good time. Eddie: Your mom is not a good time. Let me in. 12 Link to comment
biakbiak February 15, 2017 Share February 15, 2017 I would not have recognized Courtney Thorne-smith if her name wasn't in the credits, I rewound just to see her again and she still didn't look like herself. 5 Link to comment
tennisgurl February 15, 2017 Share February 15, 2017 I loved how the neighbors just bluntly told Jessica she wasn't a team player! And of course Neighborhood Watch is what Jessica was made to run. I thought their story was funny, and ended on a sweet note. "Found him." I'm kind of surprised that Eddie and Allison haven't kissed yet, they've been going out for awhile, even if they are still pretty young. Guess I just moved a lot faster back in the day :) They were cute though. I also love that Eddie apparently just magically appears whenever NWA is mentioned, like NWA is Candyman. 7 Link to comment

I didn't recognize her until her very last scene. Shocked me that she would play such a minor role. Has she been in other eps? 1 Link to comment
Black Knight February 16, 2017 Share February 16, 2017 No, I don't think she's been in other episodes. I did recognize her in her first scene - she didn't look that different to me, just older than the last time I saw her (which was years ago). Usually I have trouble recognizing faces, but there's just something about her eyes, a sort of alert quality to them, that makes her distinctive to me. I'm guessing we'll see her reappear in future, like we do the other neighbors. Cracked up at Jessica firing the two women as soon as she was made head of the NW. 1 Link to comment

I loved that Eddie wouldn't explain to his parents what the acronym stood for. I've been in similar situations where my mom asked about something and I just said, "I don't know," and immediately left the room because I did not want to have that conversation with her. Perfect example (true story): Mom: Do you know what blue balls are? Me: Nope. [exit stage left] 10 Link to comment

If so, yea I thought that was great too, even though they really didn't have to explain it since Waldo was referred to a few scenes ago. The show does have a habit of going out of its way to explain 90s references, often resulting in unnatural dialogue (Emery's explanation of his Silence of the Lambs costume comes to mind). Watching the episode again, it's hilariously preposterous how Marvin is just out in the open trying to sneak in a bite of his sandwich. On top of that, he's done it at least twice! 2 Link to comment

We couldn't figure out why Trent was doing that... it would just push the candy down into Eddie's lungs, not get it out. We get it was a plot device, but still ... threw us the whole scene. 5 Link to comment

I think that was Honey and Jessica watching an actual Melrose Place scene on TV though that had Alison (CTS's character on that show), wasn't it? We were told in this episode that her character's just moved into the neighborhood. 5 Link to comment
Camera One March 25, 2017 Share March 25, 2017 (edited) I liked this episode. It was neat to see Jessica actually learning to be a team player... too bad lessons never stick on sitcoms. The Find Waldo in the mall was a nice touch. I couldn't figure out why he was giving mouth-to-mouth either. Edited March 25, 2017 by Camera One 2 Link to comment
