While Hayes and Wallace struggle to balance their professional and personal lives, they are summoned to a crime scene that fits the M.O. of the infamous “Black Orchid Killer.” Is the latest murder the work of a copycat? Or is the man now in prison for the earlier crimes actually innocent? As the investigation accelerates, the CIU team, spearheaded by unlikely serial-killer expert Tess, closes in on a suspect who may have committed all the murders – but will it be too late?

So Tess is the entire cast of Criminal Minds all rolled into one, then? That's useful.

I will say that Hayes and Wallace together are less annoying by degrees then they were when it was all UST. Like I didn't want to actively turn off my TV the way I used to. Still, it's the weakest part of the show for me.

I think it's some of the same people who worked on Criminal Minds.

I LOL'd at that because we were just saying that she needs to be a less wide-eyed and naive character.   I loved Haley's "I'm a little afraid of you now."

Yeah, it's like, I'm not I think they are the greatest couple of all time or anything, but them actually as an item is.... tolerable?  Hell, I even chuckled a few times.  Either I've gotten soft or the "lust" was just that bad, that this really looks good by comparison.

Not too bad of an episode, considering Tess was front and center, and I still feel like Emily Kinney only has one facial expression.  I did call it early on that one of the "eyewitnesses" would be the actual killer, because the scene felt like it was stretched out for a reason.  The did like both of the actors playing the accused (the latter was in that horribly bad Containment, so, yay, for slightly better work?)

Are they trying something with Maxine and that cop who apparently can't solve a case if his live depended on it (in other words, every cop on this show)?

I was close I thought their stories matched so perfectly that the were coached or something. Like the cop was pushing them to finger the guy in prison to solve his case from way back.

So Tess was all about getting that guy out of prison since he wasn't actually the Black Orchid Killer, and promised him that she'd help him get readjusted to society, but he was all alone in that hallway in the final scene, so ... what? She just forgot all about him?

And when did that food truck guy forgive her? She said he forgave her, but last I recall he was really upset when he found out who she was, walked out of having a conversation with her and we never saw him again. Did I miss a scene where he came back and forgave her? Or was she just saying that so the guy in prison in this episode would trust her and think he'd be able to survive outside  of prison?

This episode seemed pretty messy with the details to me.

Patrick Breen! By Grapthar's Hammer, by the sons of Worvan, you shall be avenged (for the years you spent in prison for no good reason)! He made this episode for me. He's such a good actor, and deserves a much bigger career than he's had.
