DollEyes December 18, 2016 Share December 18, 2016 Here's the thread for Sing, the animated movie about a bunch of animals who compete in a singing competition. It looks like a Zootopia rip-off, but the voice cast includes Matthew McConaguhey, Reese Witherspoon, John C. Reilly, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Hudson, Tori Kelly, Taron Egerton, Nick Kroll and Beck Bennett, so it sounds promising, no pun intended. Link to comment
PrincessEnnui December 19, 2016 Share December 19, 2016 Saw the trailer for it, and another similar animated film with singing animals, when I went to see Moana. It's either going to be very good or very bad. Having said that, I also think it could lift a few spirits regardless of quality. Ain't nothing wrong with that. 1 Link to comment

cincivic December 29, 2016 Share December 29, 2016 This was very good. The characters were fun, the songs were good and the story was great. 3 Link to comment

Uh, Nicki Minaj's Anaconda... With rabbits... Nevermind. XD That's the one that gave me pause. It's best if you don't think too much about it. 1 Link to comment

Well, I'm back to say that I thought it was just okay and I can't put my finger on why. Yes, the music was good and so was the story but for me, it was just missing something. I would've liked a little more time with some of the characters (Ash) and I felt that the mouse was just unlikeable no matter how talented he was. 2 Link to comment
tennisgurl December 31, 2016 Share December 31, 2016 The songs being inappropriate for kids didn't bother me. Its not worse than anything they put onto those Kidz Bop CDs they keep making. I thought this was a cute movie, and I enjoyed the songs and the characters. Not a super deep movie, but a good one. Link to comment
nicepebbles January 1, 2017 Share January 1, 2017 I thought it was good. The family and I enjoyed it. I do think they could have spent more time on character development. It felt somewhat rushed. Link to comment
questionfear January 3, 2017 Share January 3, 2017 We took our 3.5 yr old yesterday. It was cute. He liked the music, and I liked that there wasn't anything terribly scary or intense. It wasn't highbrow even for a kids movie, but as a cute, funny way to entertain a kid it was great. 1 Link to comment
snickers January 4, 2017 Share January 4, 2017 I thought the movie was solid...not the best, but not bad either. I just think illumination does not make as good as movies as Disney, but I liked this way better than the Secret Life of Pets. I was impressed with the singing and Johnny's character was my favorite, followed by Rosita. This is how I would rank the animated movies I saw this year: 1. Zootopia 2. Moana 3. Sing 4. The Secret Life of Pets 5. Finding Dory Link to comment
Silver Raven January 7, 2017 Share January 7, 2017 I'm always blown away but just how good a singer Seth MacFarlane is. 1 Link to comment
