He has or had another restaurant near Myrtle Beach, SC, I think. He had restaurants in both Hilton Head and Bluffton, SC, but I believe they are both now closed. NewDigs June 25, 2016 Share June 25, 2016 Wow. What was that? I kind of blanked out for awhile after the KatieLee snoozefest. I guess she hasn't felt the need to work on her presentation/vocal skills. Nasal drooooone it is. Especially enjoyed Giada schooling Bobby and Robert on how Italians really don't use that much spice. Huh? Really? Well, she did manage to save whatshisname, her new crush. She looked positively giddy interacting with him. Surprised we didn't have a nipslip. Bet production is taking odds on that happening. I had never seen anyone do meat in a waffle iron but big deal. Watching him press that sandwich in the burger grease made me a little queasy. HappyDancex2 June 27, 2016 Share June 27, 2016 I'm one behind so I just finished this one but I had to add that I literally laughed out loud several times while reading this thread. Too many to quote but Braaaaaava y'all. I definitely was confused when Damiano won the first challenge for using a turkey baster instead of a spoon. I get that he had to change last minute but the fact that he won for that seemed ridiculous. He's the worst of the italian casts over the last few seasons. Holy Giada boobs. The pink dress in particular seemed like a dress that started out as one thing but then was sent to alterations. Monterrey needed her bangs cut or some stiff product. In a weird way I could watch her train wreckedness. I am ashamed. Ana - Just want to say that making rice on a grill? Pretty amazing. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/44696-s12e05-motorsports-tailgating/page/3/#findComment-2360438
MajorWoody June 27, 2016 Share June 27, 2016 I agree Happy. Ana might be a train wreck on camera, but she appears to be the best cook in the bunch. There was somethng about Monterey that made her interesting, but it wasn't her cooking or camera skills. Just an offbeat weird vibe she gave off. Damiano can always be Giadas pool boy when he eventually gets canned. I can't understand 95% of what he says, and I grew up with a family of off the boat Italians. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/44696-s12e05-motorsports-tailgating/page/3/#findComment-2360974

Maybe, taste-wise, but she lost a lot of ground with me when she fried eggs --twice-- to make Eggs Benedict. I was shocked (at first) that Bobby didn't call her on that. Then again, she's his favorite so she probably could have plopped raw eggs on the plate and he'd say she was brilliant. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/44696-s12e05-motorsports-tailgating/page/3/#findComment-2360997

In all fairness, chefs in Italy don't tend to spice the same way ones here do. It's more a matter of which spices/herbs, though, and not so much quantity.
