Although nothing changes in terms of my respect for D-Wade, I'd respect him even more if this was intentional.  I mean, what on Earth is that?!  I've seen a ton of NFL Canton busts that look nothing like the Hall of Fame inductee, but at least you can get to the resemblence.  This is a totally different human being!

DoctorAtomic: I do recall the Ronaldo statue.  I don't think that one was as bad, but it was lacking effort there.  Well, at least the memes will be plenty for weeks to come (if not months or years to come)

Ok I know this has nothing to do with this current season, but I am reading a book Chuck Daly wrote in 1990 and this made me chortle right out loud -

“I know all about his reputation for being a cheap-shot artist.  He throws elbows and pushes people around.  If there’s a scuffle under the basket, there’s a good chance he’ll be part of it.  But he’s only doing what he feels he has to do to survive.”

This angel?  This poor man who is only defending himself from the other mean players?  Bill Laimbeer.

This made me laugh so hard, and the Pistons were my team at that time!

At least Chuck defended his players like you'd expect a coach to.  Contrast to Phil Jackson, who said the following about his reaction when news of Kobe's sexual assault case broke:

“Was I surprised? Yes, but not entirely. Kobe can be consumed with surprising anger, which he's displayed toward me and toward his teammates,”

But back to Daly - I think he's a bit underrated because of how much people hated the Pistons.  It couldn't have been easy to get that group under control.

Eh, I found Phil Jackson's candor about Kobe pretty on-brand. I've rarely actually heard of anyone who had anything nice to say about Kobe.

On Wednesday Night, the Cavaliers beat up on the Lakers 134-110. Currently, the Cavaliers are 5-0, while the Lakers are 3-2. Yay!!

Bronny finally got into the game with 5 minutes left in the game & he finally scored his first NBA basket. Even though the game was long over, it was good seeing Bronny finally scoring his first NBA Points (2).

The Bucks and the Nuggets have both struggled a lot.

The Bucks are 1-4, and the body language between Giannis and Dame is as icy as ever. They are losing to random teams like the Bulls and the Nets. The Nuggets also needed OT to beat two tanking teams: Raptors and Nets.

I feel like those two teams are ones to watch for making a big move before the trade deadline.

Part of me thought that Doc Rivers would be unemployed before Dennis Allen of NFL fame.  Only for a second by the way!

Doc will be unemployed soon enough if the Bucks keep on sucking. Hopefully, when the Bucks finally get rid of Doc, he will finally go away & stay away.

And in a game @Magogprobably boycotted, evil Steph beat the sucky Wizards.

I did boycott that game. Mainly because Draymond didn't show any disrespect towards Jordan Poole so that game wasn't worth watching. BTW, those Warriors are currently 6-1 & I find that to be revolting.

Also, the Cavaliers are now 8-0. You wouldn't know anything about it if you were watching ESPN. Its a nice start to the season (which is 2 weeks old) & hopefully, they can keep this going.

Word on the street is that there's strain between Giannis and Dame. It's not good.

Dame is going through it personally. His wife filed for full custody of his three kids, and they are afaik still going through a contentious custody battle. I think the custody arrangement for the moment is Dame's mom has to fly the kids out to see him. I notice he always does better in games on the weekends his kids are there.

Giannis also says that he needs Thanasis to keep him calm and centered. Also says that Thanasis is his good cop in the locker room. Thanasis popped his Achilles tendon.

That and Doc is a shitty coach, and it's misery city in Milwaukee.

They are both used to being the best player and leader of their team. That's why duos like Steph and Klay with the Warriors and Jaylen and Jayson on the Celtics so great they don't care who gets the credit when they win.

100%.  Too bad someone couldn't emulate the D Wade role here.  They're still not winning anything, but IMO that would help in their case

Whether he likes it or not, the Bucks should be Giannis's team.  He's the lifelong Buck, won a title, is still near (if not at) his peak, and is the better player overall.  Dame is the hired gun.  If they had done a bizarro Decision and had D Wade join Lebron in Cleveland it wouldn't have made sense for Wade to act like he was the alpha.

It was so wonderful last night seeing those Warriors get their asses kicked by the Cavaliers 136-117. The game was over halfway through the 1st Quarter. The halftime score was 83-42. Even better, there wasn't any Steph being Steph type highlights (he only got 12 points & made only 1 3-pointer) from the game & that made me very very happy.

Overall, the Cavaliers are now 10-0. They're the first team to start 10-0 since those Warriors went 24-0 (🤬) 9 years ago. Of course, that season had a very very happy ending for me. 😊 😊 😂 😂 🤣🤣

The Cavaliers may not get to 24-0. But, I'm very pleased about this good start. I hope that Stephen A Smith is seething in anger over this.

Speaking of injury prone, Zion is out indefinitely with a hamstring pull.  I know Kawhi is generally held as the prime example of an injury prone player, but he's actually played in more games than Zion since 2019.

Zion is a weird case. Kawhi has degenerative knees. I think Zion's issue is that he starts the season out of shape, which leads to injuries.

Injury fans are feasting. Kevin Durant, Ja Morant and Tyrese Maxey are all out.

You can add Chet Holmgren to this list. He's got a hip fracture on Sunday & he will be out for 2 months.

The Cavaliers won again last night & they're now 12-0. Their next game & hopefully win will be against the 76ers on Wednesday.

Tonight is the start of 2nd season of the NBA Not Worth A Damn Cup. 😒 The games will be on Tuesday & Friday Nights with the Final being on December 17 in Las Vegas. Yay. This time, it got a sponsor in Emirates. Gee, how exciting. 😒 They could of called it the Arsenal Cup (🤬) because of their association from Emirates. Even then, its still not worth giving a damn.

The 2 main games tonight from this sorry tournament are the Knicks - 76ers (Meh....) & Mavericks - those Warriors. Even with Klay Thompson is not with those Warriors anymore. They're currently 8-2 (🤬)& still those same vile scummy Warriors.

Klay Thompson is going to get a very nice welcome from those Warriors. Even though Klay Thompson is playing against his former team tonight, it would be very fitting & make me very happy if the game was close at the end & Kyrie Irving hit the game-winning shot to win the game for the Mavericks.

Klay had a great game, but Stephen MF Curry was better. And hit the dagger. Sorry, not sorry  @Magog 💪

Ugh!!!! 🤬 The Mavericks were on their way to victory late in the 4th Quarter & it had to be him to come to the rescue for those Warriors. Having to suffer through yet another Steph being Steph performance by him scoring the last 12 points in the last 3 minutes for those absolute scummy Warriors. 🤬 I was eyerolling in flat out disgust at the end.

Frankly, every time I get burned by Steph being Steph (which is way too many times for my liking), it almost always reminds me of that TV show from the 80's, Small Wonder. Its basically me being Jaime & Steph being Harriet. And I actually kind of liked the show, especially Harriet.

The less said about RFK Jr. the better. Rudy, worry about France, mkay?

Here is the article regarding Klay ghosting Steph.

Aww, I feel for both Klay and Steph. Word on the street was that Klay was really pissed with the Warriors org for how they treated him last season. He wanted a fresh start, so that's what he did. Talking to Steph might have brought up some painful memories.

But Steph probably was pissed that Klay peaced out of the Bay Area and left his messages on read.
