Lady S. May 16, 2015 Share May 16, 2015 I find it interesting that we now know that Valyria has "stone men" whose touch can turn you into another stone man, and in the north we have the white walkers whose touch we have seen turn a baby into another white walker. Hmmmm. What happens if a stone man touches a white walker? LOL Idk, but now I want to find out! That could be the mystery cure, the healing touch of white walkers, lol. Link to comment
rozen May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 (edited) I don't blame Sansa too much for wandering into kennels. She's newly arrived at her ancestral home, now occupied by the people who butchered her family, and is gassed up from Littlefinger's pep talk on being the last Stark in Westeros. Were there clear dangers associated with taking Miranda's word? Yes. But the hell if she was going to let some punk Bolton lackey scare the beejeesus out of her in her own home. That's like the ultimate nail in the "homeless orphan" coffin. I had to snicker during the dinner scene because Ramsay was so peeved. He showed her his best toy and all the tricks it could do and she pissed all over it. Thank you, Roose, for reminding us that Ramsay is small potatoes compared to your ice cold sadism. Raped a woman while her husband's corpse juices were raining down on her, lovely. Wait, does that mean he took Ramsay and had her killed anyway? Ugh. I hope they are defeated and get shipped to the cannibal Thanes (sp?) wrapped in bacon bows. It's kind of hilarious to me that my two fav Iron Throne candidates (Dany and Stannis) both guarantee another round of the Succession Shitstorm Olympics upon their deaths. Dany's barren and Stannis has a daughter afflicted with a disease that is perceived as one rung down form being a White Walker. If five minutes of combat was enough to infect Jorah, I'd bet good money that any child Shireen has will have it too. Child mortality wasn't so hot back in those days even with the best of care, and now every infant she has will probably have to battle Greyscale too? He needs some new kids, and not the smoke baby kind. And whatever country is housing Dany when she dies it totally screwed. Those dragons are going to go on a man-munching rampage and there won't be a thing the populace can do about it. Edited May 17, 2015 by rozen 2 Link to comment
Ambrosefolly May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 Alfie Allen killed that scene, though. I have no idea why he isn't getting more attention for what he's doing in this role. He has what is probably the toughest acting job on the show, and he delivers each and every time. Has he ever even been nominated for an Emmy? Because, like Harry Lloyd's Viserys or Jack Gleesons' Joffery, he isn't playing a self assured bad boy (like Khal Drogo, Twyin, Roose and even Ramsay) but someone who has a cowardly and weak internal frame and that repels both men and women. For the longest time I believed that the hardest part is playing the good guy who isn't also some quippy jackass. I still believe it is difficult, but now realize thanks to GoT, that playing someone who is truly unlikable is the hardest thing to play. 6 Link to comment

Those dragons are going to go on a man-munching rampage and there won't be a thing the populace can do about it. Good point. It makes me very sad that Viserion and Rheagal have tasted human flesh now. They never ate people before, and they obviously were pretty excited with their treat. I am of the opinion that Drogon was framed, and that the only one of the three who has killed a human just because it was there, is Rheagal, but now Viserion will want to, because that was a pretty good lunch they were having. I can't believe Danaerys didn't think about it, and that she did this so cavalierly. She didn't even seem to be trying to get a confession from anyone--just a show of power. Very ill-considered. Whereas before, some people might not have considered the dragons to be a very good thing, they weren't out to kill them immediately. Now that various heads of houses are waiting to be killed by dragons, dragon-killing is going to become top priority for some people. Danaerys has made so many mistakes it just isn't even funny. 1 Link to comment
LuciaMia May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 Questions, I got questions. Is it a pretty much accepted fact by The Westeros' that dragons died out centuries ago? Indeed, don't some of them think they never existed? ***** Has it ever been speculated that the doll that gave Shireen gray scale was deliberately infected and given to her? ******** I think Sansa is going to snap and kill Ramsey. I know I would! I think the one thing we can all agree on is total disgust with Ramsey. It's funny; the actor's also in the Brit sitcom about the aging gay couple. He plays their amiable upstairs neighbor, but every time he comes on I just wanna cringe. Hope he doesn't bet type-cast. ;-) 1 Link to comment

I saw him on another show where he started out as a kinda a creep but then grew to be a really likable character. Most of the time his acting has been really different but there's been a few times this season where I've got momentary confused. Link to comment
Hecate7 May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 @ Stardancer... As I Recall, Arya's direwolf was killed in S1. Because of Joffrey's punk ass and Cersei being a bitch. Actually, Arya drove Nymeria away by throwing rocks at her until, broken-hearted, she went back to the wild. It was Sansa's direwolf, Lady, who was slaughtered in Nymeria's place. Nymeria is out there somewhere, as big as Ghost, doing god knows what. Link to comment

However on rewatch - having seen Ghost kill and I assumed eat first Rast then the Thenn (He killed him and then settled in for a meal in the middle of a batte.) The dragons aren't the only ones you need to worry about. But Ghost has such an innocent look about him - it is hard to truly fear him. Boy I really didn't like S5. I think the only episode I wanted to rewatch was Hardhome and the scene of Vary's and Tyrion's reunion in the season finale. I didn't realize how much I didn't like it until it was until this episode - halfway through the season that I had a wow moment for me. That's a long time for me and this series to wait for a wow moment. Tyrion and Jorah's trip to Valeria. That was fantastic. The scenery was great. The poem was lovely, and seeing Drogon making his rounds was wow. Link to comment
