ottoDbusdriver January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 (edited) The team races to find a terrorist cell's missing bombs There really wasn't a whole lot of 'racing' -- there seemed to be no panic on the PDB team, in fact they didn't seem rushed at all. , and Charlie enlists the aid of a former adversary in the effort. Which adversary did she enlist in the effort -- because I really wouldn't consider Professor Amahdi to be an adversary of Charleston since they had never met before. So, Charleston Chew is doing the interrogations of the 7 sleepers and then she's off to convince the professor for his private message board data, and then she's overseeing bomb disposal -- is there anything she doesn't do ? Wow, she sure changed quickly after coming back from the PDB with POTUS (drink). What happened to the other 23 sleepers on the list of 30 ? And why did they only find 7 backpacks ? Turns out the squeaky clean, extremely helpful, been wrongly accused by the CIA, thanked personally by POTUS true patriot professor Amahdi is the bombmaker for Ar Rissalah -- and he has the remaining bombs in his secret close. Who knew ? Is the Krieg Group protecting Sheikh Hakam ? Because seeing Syd on the sniper team covering Nick makes me think so. Congressional investigation of the CIA, blah, blah, blah, whatever. Navarro is still barely alive and Matthew Lilard shows up as CIA DepDir to fill in. They find the location of 7 backpack bombs, only the bomb disposal doesn't go according to plan -- he blowed up real good. </FarmFilmReport> The First Husband banged Kyle Green 10 years ago -- I was actually surprised by that revelation. Explains the animosity between the two, but POTUS should be more pissed at Kyle Green whereas Kyle Green behaved like she had been wronged by POTUS. Charleston Chew has the guilts that the bomb disposal technician died in the blast. Did she not see The Hurt Locker ? It's a job with a lot of risk and limited lifespan. And no Charleston Screw this episode -- is there a bartender strike in D.C. and all the bars are closed ? Edited January 27, 2015 by ottoDbusdriver 1 Link to comment

The Evil Senator likely has spies in the bars trying to get photos for the hearings. Even Charleston can unscrew for a few days. If the Krieg Group is working for Hakam and they have already guessed that Fattah is Bellerophon, why is Fattah still alive? Edited January 27, 2015 by paigow Link to comment
Netfoot January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 So, when you are working for the CIA in a most sensitive position, and it is revealed that you are a mole, do they just escort you to the door? Or do they throw you a farewell party and give you severance pay as well? Because I'd have thought you'd be getting the third degree down in sub-basement 9-9-Zulu-9 for so damn long you'd forget the very existence of daylight. But judging by Kurt, apparently not. Oh, and is any single viewer, anywhere, surprised that Ahmadi is up to his neck in Ar Rissalah's business? I didn't think so. 2 Link to comment

If Kurt breathed a single word about Fatah and Bellerophon to Victor he would be revealing information having the highest security classification and should be arrested and locked away for a very long time. There is no way in hell that Agency policy doesn't make that crystal clear to ex-employees. If Kurt is that stupid, he deserves whatever nasty stuff comes his way. You would think that the CIA, through the FBI, would have eyes on Kurt for quite some time given his apparent prior double dealing. Edited January 27, 2015 by cali1981 1 Link to comment

mandigirl January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 Oh, and is any single viewer, anywhere, surprised that Ahmadi is up to his neck in Ar Rissalah's business? I didn't think so. I wasn't surprised, but I was disappointed. I thought that the show was going to buck the predictable and actually have Ahmadi as an outspoken but loyal patriot. But I guess that would be too gray for this show. Back to black and white! Middle Eastern guy= bad terrorist. I thought that Kurt being the CIA mole in the Krieg Group was pretty obvious... I would love this because I love Kurt. It would also explain Kurt playing dumb. If you're an ex-analyst for the CIA involved in some of the most current covert missions and you're approached by some shadowy group of mercenaries, chances are they don't want you for your analyst skills. The First Husband banged Kyle Green 10 years ago -- I was actually surprised by that revelation. So was I. It seemed completely unnecessary and made him going to Kyle for help even more of a crap move. Now I'm confused-- they made it seem like the President's and Kyle's animosity was about something more recent-- like during the campaign. So did they continue to work together even after First Husband and Kyle had an affair? Weird. So, Charleston Chew is doing the interrogations of the 7 sleepers-- If that's what you want to call it. She was dressed like she was on her way to a dinner date (nice boots, Charlie!) and had about the same amount of intensity while 'interrogating'. I wasn't expecting her to go 'Nick-style', but I was surprised they weren't being more intensely interrogated, if not by her, then by someone else. 1 Link to comment
saber5055 January 28, 2015 Share January 28, 2015 I was all for Nick-style interrogations of the bratty college kids. What a bunch of nambies. They needed some blow torch action. I wish the First Husband had been the bomb-disposal guy. He needs to get blowed up real good. I can't stand his whiny *ss. POTUS (drink) should find a way to "get rid of him," if you know what I mean. I would if he were my spouse and I were POTUS (drink). So a tracker is put on that guy's new car ... why? The saleman put it on there? Is that included with TKG bullet proofing? Kudos to all you guys who know who is playing on which team and what everyone's names are. I know Charleston, Nick, Mo and POTUS (drink) and that's all. Still, I watch every week! Link to comment
Dowel Jones January 28, 2015 Share January 28, 2015 So a tracker is put on that guy's new car ..,. Someone needs to speak to the dealership moles about hiding a tracking device. Sheesh. During the discussion between POTUS (it's late and I want one) and First Hubbie, he challenged her with "Are we keeping score now?". Does that mean she has some baggage, or that he has been taking notes from the Fitzgerald Grant playbook? Link to comment
Kromm January 30, 2015 Share January 30, 2015 (edited) Oh good grief. Like that ending hasn't been obvious since the first time that guy appeared. And no Charleston Screw this episode -- is there a bartender strike in D.C. and all the bars are closed ? I think that version of her has been sidelined, because they wanted to sell her and Nick The Dick as a romance. Which I suppose it getting more and more ridiculous given how far out on a limb he's gone, but this show takes the ridiculous and makes a meal of it each week, so no doubt by the time Season 2 rolls around Nick will be in the clear politically. Heck, he could even be the new Director of the CIA, for all we know. Something stoopid. I thought that Kurt being the CIA mole in the Krieg Group was pretty obvious... Yeah, it's not particularly clever writing since it's so obvious. Clearly his whole firing was a ruse--a kind of Hail Mary option he was given to make up for his role in what happened with Charleston and that photo (although of course since the Kreig office appears to be in Virginia, once again we get a CIA operation on American soil--where they aren't supposed to be operating). Which I suppose it getting more and more ridiculous given how far out on a limb he's gone I'm pretty sure Nick has a license to kill (except for Americans, apparently, but he kinda didn't know about this one, so). Nick hardly did something worse than James Bond regularly does on his job. once again we get a CIA operation on American soil--where they aren't supposed to be operating). The show Covert Affairs was holding on on that premise alone for what, five seasons? Although I'm not sure State of Affairs will last that long. Link to comment
DrLar January 30, 2015 Share January 30, 2015 Why show!? they kinda copied the Grey's Anatomy situation where we thought the bomb disposal guy was safe and sound and BOOM! At least Heigl wasn't surprised LOL But didn't think that the bomber in previous episode was going to blow herself in front of the senator, but oh well.. So we presume the 7 backpacks where ready to use while they still have a closet full of vests. Link to comment
