I'll give it a chance. I'm looking for a new hate-watch, anyway!

As for being better than Suspect Behavior, um... at least this time the spin-off doesn't have a random Welsh FBI SSA (because if your boss really likes you, you can join the FBI at a high level without being a U.S. citizen or even setting foot in the country before, who knew?)

But, yeah, it's going to suck.

Oh please, oh please let it be a big time flop.CBS doesn't need to be getting any sort of idea that they might someday replace the original with this spin off.

I do love all the negative reviews I am hearing. I hope it is reflected in the ratings. Although since it is a premiere it's likely to get decent ratings, unfortunately.

I watched part of it and not too far in, my mother called and wanted me to log on to World of Warcraft and help her farm oil in Tanaan Jungle. Some of the scenes were just painfully bad. I didn't like that the medical examiner chick snuck in to a place without authorization. Also, I've never seen so many grim-faced Thai people before. All of the Thai people I know are very jovial and have wonderful smiles. My father was fluent in Thai and spent some time living in Thailand. He had a lot of knowledge about Thai culture and our favorite restaurant was a Thai place. He said the Thais are generally very happy and friendly people. Although, they do frown upon overweight women-- it is harder for them to get jobs.

The weirdo hunting the women reminded me of an early episode of original CM where the two brothers were hunting victims in the woods. It just seemed like a rehash of that plot.

That was unbelievably terrible. I was insulted on so many levels. I actually liked Gary Sinise's character and the woman who was the interpreter and will be joining the team, but the rest of it was so bad I won't be watching again.

So Beyond Boredom got a 1.6/6 in its demo and 8.88(million) viewers. That is a pretty decent start. However it really didn't have much in the way of competition.

It went up against the low rated Nashville and a rerun of Chicago PD. It will be interesting to see how it will do when that show returns with a brand new episode.

I've seen a number of comments around the Net saying that it wasn't up to much but people are watching and will continue to watch for Gary Sinise. I think its success will hang with the Sinise fans. I've read nothing so far that tempts me to try it.

I accidentally saw maybe the first 1/4 of it, but it really lived up to its name. Yawn. When they had a car scene and had to resort to green screen for the exterior, I rolled my eyes and turned it off.

I finally watched it in full. Upon second watch I fastforwarded through the unsub scenes. I like Clara, Simmons, Jack, and I'm starting to warm to Monty. I liked May sometimes, but there were parts where I didn't like her behavior.

I think my main gripe was that I felt like they didn't really get the Thai culture and I really facepalmed when Clara said the farmer had a Buddha statue so he believes in karma. Karma is from Hinduism, not Buddhism. Buddhism has the ten-fold path. Suffering exists, therefore we must do what we can to end suffering and so forth.

Also, I've never seen so many grim-face Thai people in my life. My father lived in Thailand for awhile, was fluent in Thai, and we had Thai friends. They are very friendly and usually upbeat people. They have huge beautiful smiles. Granted, I know there are times where they are serious, but they usually smile very brightly when they greet people. Now, May might have been given side-eye because women who aren't thin are frowned upon and it is harder for them to get jobs, but I don't think they ever would have been rude to her. I don't get why they didn't show her asking (once they were at the station) if she could please look over the body and take photos). Instead she went into the room and there was some odd exchange with the other female cop and I think they were trying to go for something but it didn't quite work.

I had previously watched Forever here Alana played a detective and I hadn't been impressed with her too much in that but she did great in this show. I really get a sense that she and Jack are good friends. We really didn't see enough of Monty to get much personality, but he seemed very sweet and nice. I think all of the cast act well.

It would be nice, in the future, for them to discuss what sort of weather/climate they are going to so they can dress appropriately. I thought some of the clothes they wore just didn't look right. I'm also trying to remember if they had pictures of the king of Thailand anywhere. The king is very beloved and people tend to have pictures of him. They even make printed photo things inside black lacquer frames with mother-of-pearl inlay.

I know they can't re-create things too accurately because Thailand has different plants, clothes, etc, but I wish it had looked a little more like Thailand instead of parts of LA.

I have a former classmate who currently lives in Thailand so I'm constantly seeing photos from there on Facebook.

That said, other than the story being somewhat of a ripoff of a previous CM story (the two brothers kidnapping victims to hunt them in the woods), this one wasn't terrible. I think it was missing something though. I still enjoyed it for the most part and am willing to give it a second chance.
