BlueSkies September 10 Share September 10 One of those song lyrics that resonates. While I’ve never really had this issue with a lover….. many times I just don’t know what to say to people and just say something stupid a lot of times. silence ain’t a bad thing sometimes 4 Link to comment
Anduin September 11 Share September 11 I seem to be the only death metal fan on this site, but the new Nile album is a good one! If you're going to listen, do it at a comfortable volume. There's no point in jackhammering it into your ears. Too loud will put you off and it's bad for the hearing. Anyway, go to it! 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras September 11 Share September 11 Twelfth Helloween album "Gambling With the Devil" (2007). You know, this might be the most fun to listen to album of theirs yet - the beat is fast, the riffs slap, the vocal delivery is top notch. 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras September 12 Share September 12 Thirteenth Helloween album "7 Sinners (2020 Remaster)" (2010). Kinda an odd one, most good songs are those that are above 5 minutes in length. After the previous one, I'd consider this to be on average side. 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras September 13 Share September 13 Fourteenth Helloween album "Straight Out of Hell (2020 Remaster) (2013). An almost ten out of ten album, but then the last song Burning Sun (Hammond Version) had to ruin everything. Link to comment
Jaded September 13 Share September 13 (edited) @Palimelon I liked that song as a kid even though the video freaked me out for some reason. I watched it again a few months ago and still found myself somewhat uncomfortable... @Rushmoras that's how I found out about Poets of the Fall too. It was quite a few years after 2010. I've never played the Allen Wake games myself. I have seen them all played by streamers on Twitch though. Edited September 13 by Jaded 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras September 14 Share September 14 Fifteenth Helloween album "The Dark Ride (Special Edition)" (2013). Came out the same year as their fourteenth one. Almost as good as the previous one. Probably [without wikipediying] they had a lot of material throughout the years in their heads and one album was not enough to convey their artistry. 1 Link to comment

Like when P!nk (featuring the Indigo Girls) did this in 2006: Oh, wow, I had forgotten all about Swing Out Sister. They're not really my jam, but "Breakout" and, especially, "Am I the Same Girl" were catchy -- fun to revisit. 4 Link to comment
Rushmoras September 15 Share September 15 Sixteenth and penultimate Helloween album "God-Given Right" (2015). In comparison, more social commentary than most albums of theirs. But after track five it becomes more or less what you'd expect from Helloween. I guess, to me this is the most generic sounding album out of 2010s albums of theirs. 1 Link to comment

Bastet September 18 Share September 18 Blast from the past - I loved L7 during their heyday (and was aware of them prior, as they were an L.A. band). They created, along with an LA Weekly reporter, the Rock for Choice (abortion rights) fundraiser concert, including Nirvana and Hole, and it was fantastic (I was there). It continued on as an annual event for about ten years and I attended probably half of them; the Feminist Majority Foundation became a backer early on, and there was a great cover album released, "Spirit of '73: Rock For Choice" (referring to Roe v. Wade), as an additional fundraiser. I, of course, still have my copy -- I'm going to pop it in the player. 2 Link to comment

I liked seeing all of the different looks. Even back then Nadia's was my favorite. I also had a thing for what Paula Abdul wore in the video for her song Cold Hearted. I was probably 7 when it was originally on MTV so the explicit choreography went over my head a bit. After George came out as gay one of my first thoughts was about all the models that were in his videos. They probably didn't mind because they wouldn't have had to worry about George hitting on them. Apparently there's a alternate version of Too Funky where male models were used too. --- Edited October 3 by Jaded 3 1 Link to comment
Jaded October 3 Share October 3 They finally upgraded Outside's quality even to 4K. One of the other reasons I like this video is because it made the cop who arrested him in that park so mad that he sued for intentional infliction of emotional distress. The restroom disco part never fails to make me laugh especially with George wearing a cop uniform...😸 -- 4 1 Link to comment

She’s been in that industry a long time Yeah Christina’s Dirrty video as a teenager seemed like the most explicit thing to me with all the background dancers and what not. But I was still fascinated by her. 4 hours ago, Jaded said: They finally upgraded Outside's quality even to 4K. JustHereForFood October 5 Share October 5 One of the radio stations that I listen to, that is known as the "oldies" station, is now playing songs from the late 1990's and early 2000's and I feel old. I remember many of them from my childhood. When I think of oldies, I think mostly 1960's to 1980's, but apparently it has changed now. 1 1 2 Link to comment

Rushmoras October 9 Share October 9 Listened to Nightwish newest album "Yesterwind" (2024). Eh, it was alright, better than their previous one "Human II Nature" (2020), however suffers from kinda being uninspired, bland and sounding kinda pop metal, but this is a trend with them ever since "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" (2015) came-out. Best songs: An Ocean of Strange Islands; The Day Of…; The Children of Ata; Spider Silk; Hiraeth; The Weave; Lanternlight. 8.3/10 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 10 Share October 10 Started Powerwolf discography. Did not know that they were relatively new (product of 2000s). First album "Return in Bloodred" (2005). As a debut album, pretty good. 1 Link to comment
Jaded October 10 Share October 10 I copied this part from this song's wiki concerning what it's about. It depicts the worry of a lover whose partner is sexually promiscuous during the period when AIDS was newly discovered and rampant in the West. -- 1 1 Link to comment
