ChristinaRoo March 27, 2014 Share March 27, 2014 If you are trying to introduce someone to Cosmos, this is NOT the episode to show them. Response: 'I didn't know this was a cartoon'. Meh. Great story, good history, too many emo olde-tyme cartoon dudes. Link to comment
radishcake March 27, 2014 Share March 27, 2014 I've actually really enjoyed all the animation. So much so that I looked up who was doing it all. It makes sense that they'd use animation in place of the live action stuff in the original series especially since Seth McFarland is producing. Also apparently Ann Druyan is a big fan and gave a lot of input on it. 1 Link to comment
millahnna March 28, 2014 Share March 28, 2014 Plus in the original we had badly glued on mutton chops. Well drawn if sometimes somewhat ridiculous animation is a major improvement for me. 1 Link to comment

radishcake March 28, 2014 Share March 28, 2014 @Constantinople We are watching the original too. My daughter has really liked both of them so far. Anything that gets kids excited about science is OK by my book. :) Link to comment
Joystickenvy March 28, 2014 Share March 28, 2014 I like the animation and I'm really enjoying the show. It's not perfect, but it's far superior ro recent history channel attempts to present similar material. 1 Link to comment
A Boston Gal April 1, 2014 Share April 1, 2014 (edited) I know many people think this pales in comparison to the original, but I have to say I'm finding it very informative and entertaining. No, I really wasn't aware before this of the relationship between Newton and Halley. This might make me seem ill-informed, but if I'm learning new things, then what does it matter? This is a very well done show, animation and all. Edited April 1, 2014 by A Boston Gal 4 Link to comment
IvySpice April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 I loved this episode. Showing Halley's prediction coming true long after his death was just beautiful and awe-inspiring. Link to comment
