Lara, Lara, Lara.   Can we just tie her to an anchor and toss her over?

Tsarina seems to have turned it down a notch.  Horny Alicia wants Nate.  I don't think he'll mind.

And the weather shows up.  This clown thang is going to be a disaster.

As if there were any doubt, this episode proved that Lara is deliberately fucking with Tzarina. And Tzarina has her number.

I was so glad to see Tzarina calmly and politely tell Lara to step off where Alesia is concerned. Lara keeps trying to defend what she's doing and Tzarina rightly pointed out they're just going to go around and around in circles unless Lara backs off.

What does Lara do? She doubles down on this. She makes a show of gifting Alesia with new lipstick right in front of Tzarina. Then she goes into the galley and asks Alesia to clean up the crew mess. She knows exactly what she's doing, and so does Tzarina.

I honestly don't know how Tzarina controls her temper, but it looks like she's going to finally snap in the previews.

In other news, why does Nick have his own cabin? I thought it was weird when Nate came aboard and Harry put him in with himself. Shouldn't the bosun get his own cabin if anyone is getting a private cabin? Not the greenest newbie on board. It's weird. It almost feels manipulative on Harry's part in trying to keep Nate close so he can get him to promote him to lead deckhand.

Was Lara always a messy bitch? It seems, like she ramped it up since Wihan left. Presenting the lipstick to Alesia in the galley was Lara being an asshole. Jason has told her at least 3 times now to cross train her staff and she’s finally let Marina on service. She should shut up about being chief stew, she sucks.

Alesia how can you go from Johnny to this dorky bosun? He seems like goofy Harry’s older brother.

Harry is not lead deckhand material. He’s too silly and goofy to be taken seriously and he seems to crack under pressure. A man that had to be cradled due to gossip is not up to leading others. 

Those guests were gross and looked like they smelled too. Men that look like that should keep their shirts on. Why would they charter a yacht only to request a circus theme?  How does a chef prepare for that? Popcorn and hot dogs? Forcing the crew to dress up like clowns is insulting and demeaning.

Well out of the three (he, Nick and Adair) he's the most experienced. If there has to be a lead deckhand he's really the only one qualified. But he's not ready to be bosun, for sure.

Yeah I guess out of the three he’s the least shitty. It’s too bad Johnny let that idiot Alesia get him worked up and fired. He would have made a great lead deckhand. He actually worked hard.

Short answer: Yes.  Someone mentioned in an earlier episode that the absolute horror of Wihan kind of kept Lara's bullshit and deviousness from being seen.  In other words, Lara was always a messy bitch, but Wihan was messier.

Damn, maybe I'm a stealth bitch because I viewed Lara ordering a replacement lipstick for Alesia a nice gesture. There are far easier, more direct ways to fuck with Tzarina if that was her intent.

From my vantage point, tge confluct stems from their differing expectations. Lara sees Tzarina as just a co-worker whereas Tzarina sees them as friends so she takes any disagreement or perceived slight more personally. 

It was nice to see Tzarina recognize & apologize for taking her frustrations out on Alesia. Still, she's moody as hell & not communicative which fits the role of chef but doesn't lend itself well to leading a newbie sous chef or cultivating close friendships.

You're not a stealth bitch; you're just not a mean girl. :)  Under normal circumstances, the lipstick would've been a nice gesture. It's possible when Lara got the lipstick, she was genuinely being nice. BUT, her making a show of giving Alesia the lipstick in the galley in front of Tzarina, with all of her other behavior? Mean girl 101. She was essesntially saying to Alesia, "If you're loyal to me, I'll take care of you, give you status, favors, etc."  Lara also knew she lost that conversation with Tzarina, because when retelling it to anyone who would listen, she kept emphacizing that she was NOT a stewardess, but CHIEF stewardess. Honey, you still are not a chef, nor in charge of the galley, and you still do the same tasks as your stews, you just have more responsibility, which still isn't the galley.

I loved how Tzarina's and Marina's van had the pizza and they were all laughing and having a good time and Lara's van was quiet as Lara went on about being chief stew. I'd much rather hang with Tzarina and Marina and I don't even like Tzarina that much.

Yes, Harry's sharing the same cabin with the new bosun appears to be in order for him to earn favors.

To be fair, Alesia did not get him 'worked up'. I also think she's a sweet young woman who happened to drink too much. As a result, she called out for "Johnny" twice before crawling into Wihan's bunk. Not once did Wihan say, "It's me, Wihan" even after she said "Johnny" a third time after crawling into Wihan's bed. 

Although Johnny's surprise and jealousy was warranted, his violent reaction was not. Nor should punching things ever be accepted as 'regular behavior'.

I agree with you that Johnny would have made a perfect lead deckhand.

They showed her earlier in the day on Johnnys bed. I also think as soon as she felt Wihan she would have to know that the little dude wasn’t the tall drink of water that is Johnny. However, you are right. Johnny was responsible for the over the top angry reaction and Johnny alone.

They showed the two of them sitting on Johnny's bed but at no time was it said that is his bed. It was the only surface that made sense to sit and talk on, while camera crew is in there.

Still, as soon as she touched Wihan she should have realized that he wasn’t Johnny. I think she may have been playing dumb. Wihan of course is such a douche he went along with it.

This. Tzarina had a valid point: if one of the stews came to her to bitch about Lara she'd tell them to go have a conversation with Lara. Likewise, Lara should have told Alesia to go have a conversation with Tzarina. Lara says "well, she's upset, I wanted to listen" and Tzarina says "So you care that she's upset but not that I'm upset?" Bingo. 

Then instead of backing off, Lara doubles down. She makes a big show of being friendly with Alesia right in Tzarina's face.

I thought that Wihan and Harry shared a room and when the first sous chef left that Johnny moved in to their room after Alesia came aboard. Alesia arriving made all the women double up. I did not pay attention to see if Nick had is own room. So I do not think Harry is trying to cultivate favors by keeping Nate close.

I must be a stealth bitch too, because I saw this the same way. Lara really does not bother me. I always ran warm and cold with Tzarina last season, so it is not surprising that I feel the same way about her this season. 

I did like Harry wondering why this was such a big argument about plates.
