Xeliou66 February 5 Share February 5 Another strong episode, I liked the suspense and I couldn’t tell where the plot was going, I liked how they didn’t reveal what the opening murder had to do with the informant until halfway through. I always enjoy Jubal centric stories and I found him strong as usual and liked seeing him get out in the field. I couldn’t tell whether the informant was good or bad for much of the episode. I did predict that one of the US marshal’s would be involved with the terrorists, that was the part of the episode that was predictable. I wondered why they took the detour, was there no other way around, it seemed like a set up for an ambush? The plan was risky from the start but I guess there was no other way to nab the terrorists. I figured Jubal and his ex might rekindle their relationship. No Scola this week, just Maggie/OA/Jubal/Isobel and the analysts. Entertaining hour as usual 6 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151696-s07e10-redoubt/#findComment-8572653
preeya February 5 Share February 5 (edited) Doesn't the FBI have any helicopters at their disposal? Why didn't they just postpone or re-route the transfer? Edited February 5 by preeya Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151696-s07e10-redoubt/#findComment-8572683
shrewd.buddha February 5 Share February 5 (edited) It seems every time there is a Jubal episode some new drunken incident is revealed that should have gotten him fired. And he continues to be compromised by attempting to keep his past f**k-ups a secret. Maybe he is supposed to be coming off as a guy making the most of his second chance(s) .. but he is actually coming off like a slimeball trying to keep the bodies buried. Will there be any FBI characters left for next season? All the current ones should be getting fired by the current administration, right? It would be interesting to see these FBI shows address some of the real life chaos that is happening. I think that would be excruciating! I get enough chaos reality in real life; my mental and physical health can't take anymore! 3 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151696-s07e10-redoubt/#findComment-8572862
Netfoot February 5 Share February 5 Holy jeebus! "There is a grey car that's been following us!" Are you kidding me? Where is the extra vehicle of agents who stop them and demand to see their license and registration and (after they have been cleared) directing them to take a different route to the gym? "We got a sniper on the roof at 10 o'clock!" Are you kidding me? Where is air support? What was the budget for this operation? One PEZ dispenser and a bobby-pin? "SWAT is inbound! Be careful!" Are you kidding me? Where is HRT? They actually work for you! And they should have been within a couple hundred yards max, in an unmarked van following a parallel route! "What? You're gonna kill this guy we're out here protecting?" Are you kidding me? The 12-gauge pump in his hands should have instantly clued you that his motivation was not his quarterly job review! You had two guns pointed at his head but you let him threaten your VIP/asset for 29 seconds (by my count) and you never thought to blow his head off until after he blasts your guy with buckshot? (Good thing he was clearly wearing a highly visible bullet-proof vest and your crooked marshal chose to shoot at that instead of the guy's unprotected guts or brain.) "Jubal? Nice work!" Are you kidding me? That entire prisoner transfer affaire had to be one of the biggest fuster clucks I have ever seen; mismanagement second only to Pennsylvania a few months ago. 5 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151696-s07e10-redoubt/#findComment-8572896

Yeah, there was a moment earlier in the episode where we clearly saw the evil marshall have a sketchy look on his face. I guess they needed to include that so we didn't feel totally blindsided by the reveal that he was part of the criminal group. 15 hours ago, preeya said: Why didn't they just postpone or re-route the transfer? They did a pretty believable job of explaining that any other plan would tip off the bad guys and they would never catch them until at least after they'd committed more acts of mayhem. At least, I bought it. But I wasn't hanging on every word. I did think the choreography and the camera work in the running scenes was better than usual. Almost artistic at times. 7 hours ago, shrewd.buddha said: It would be interesting to see these FBI shows address some of the real life chaos that is happening. Well, the show could save a lot of money with a smaller cast. Or they could expand the cast's home life stories. Ugh. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151696-s07e10-redoubt/#findComment-8573107
Snazzy Daisy February 6 Author Share February 6 Quote “These people wanna hurt us. Let’s show them what we’re made of.” That’s the wildest, long-drawn shootout this season. Many casualties — Tucker Kincaid, 1 US Marshal and 5 Forefront extremists. My favorite part of this episode is the rooftop scene with OA and his army maneuver — clipping the sniper’s leg then capping off his head. Badass! 💪🏼 Analyst Ian Lim has saved FBI system from a cyberattack among other things, yet his character is so underrated. Quote “Sometimes relationships run their course.” This should apply to Sam too. Jubal, are you out of your fuck!ng mind??? Have you forgotten how toxic Sam was to you? Geez. 🙄 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151696-s07e10-redoubt/#findComment-8573691

"This malware would have given them complete access to all the FBI files bureau-wide!" A bit behind the power curve there, but we now know who the Big Bad is. I have a question. Don't bad guys ever watch crime shows on TV? As soon as Doofus said that he wanted double the price at the beginning, he became a dead man lounging. C'mon, people, think! Maggie should have watched the "Floor is Lava" episode of Will Trent. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151696-s07e10-redoubt/#findComment-8574831

That was the thing that got my attention. You have to be pretty stupid when you are 10 feet away from who you want to kill and you shoot him in the only protected part of his body and with a shotgun no less which almost makes it almost impossible to miss where you are aiming.
