KaveDweller Saturday at 03:34 AM Share Saturday at 03:34 AM I think all the time travel points are getting pretty interesting. So Colton and Evelyn knew about the pond? I wonder if something happened to ruin their friendship besides Colton's relationship with Del. I also wonder if he knows Alice is his grandchild. Interesting/sad that Colton was saved (by a time traveling Alice) from getting in a car accident that could have killed him only to later die in a different car accident (sort of caused by time traveling Kat and Alice). Anyone else find it odd that Kat is just planning to move in with Elliot and leave Alice at Del's? I know it is next door, but it is a farm, so it is not super close, and she has custody of Alice. At first I thought the plan was for Alice to move in too, but it doesn't sound like it. She didn't even check with Del about if she was okay with the situation. I feel like Jacob is pretty comfortable with modern speech/ideas for someone who spent all his adult life in the early 1800s. I know there was a time jump, but it seems like he should still be adjusting to some things. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151480-s03e03-live-and-let-die/#findComment-8557748
Bringonthedrama Saturday at 03:42 AM Share Saturday at 03:42 AM Del accuses Kat of ruining a celebration and implies that she's a bad mother, because she wants both of her children and her granddaughter to continue living with her? Ugh. I love the adult Kat and Jacob sibling relationship. Kat meeting her great grandmother was unexpected. Sounds like she was a time traveler too and so were Colton and Evelyn. When Elliot was calling out "Dad" and Vic didn't answer, I thought Elliot was going to find him dead on the floor instead of the empty ring box on the table. Kat sometimes does things that annoy me, but Del pushes my buttons so much that I want to smack her. Then, she gives the insufferable Vic a blast for his treatment of Elliot, and makes me feel bad for disliking her. Grandma Fern was a hoot! "Kitty Kat" gave me the giggles. I think that lady is playing everybody, and she's the key with all the answers. I don't know what Vic's game is, but I was 50/50 on whether he would be dead or gone with the ring. Either way, he's gone (for now), so yay! Do we know what his beef is with the Landrys? It will be interesting to find out the full story from the night Jacob went "missing". His buddy really has been holding in a lot of guilt over whatever happened. They move written information too quickly on the screen for my eyes (I.e. newspaper articles and "wine-y" book jackets), so I might have missed something. There are sooo many ins/outs every which way in this story, that when it all comes out, Del's head is going to explode!! Isn't there a Ray Steven's song "I'm My Own Grandpa"? With all these twists, it seems like something like that is going to come to light. JK, but.... Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151480-s03e03-live-and-let-die/#findComment-8559225

Regarding Vic, he probably blames Colton for the car accident that killed his brother since Colton supposed to be there. Plus he said last season he resents that the town holds the Landry's in higher esteem than his family. And do we know what happened to Elliot's mother? Maybe he blames them for that too. Vic seems like the guy who always needs to blame someone else for bad things that happen to him. About Jacob's friend, didn't we learn last season that the friend had dared him to climb down a cliff to get something he threw down there? And everyone assumed Jacob fell doing that and drowned/got washed away, but now the story is after he fell some other family found him after he fell. Only Jacob didn't try and climb down the cliff, he went home and then chased the dog into the pond but he can't tell the friend that. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151480-s03e03-live-and-let-die/#findComment-8559521
sskrill Monday at 07:53 PM Share Monday at 07:53 PM Vic did say "it should have been you" but wouldn't it just have also been Colton? It's not like Rick wouldn't have gone if Colton had ... Colton was walking. So even if Colton went he wouldn't have driven since it was Rick's car, so either way Rick dies. Didn't Rick say no one could sit in the back seat because his junk was back there? But then they said he was trying to swat at Vic in the back seat? If Colton didn't go wouldn't Vic just have been in the passenger seat? But maybe if Colton had been the passenger, Rick wouldn't have been distracted and therefore not crashed - that's really the only way you can blame Colton, but that's quite a stretch. "If you had gone I wouldn't have been in the car to be a distracting little asshole, and he wouldn't have died". If Elliott really wanted that ring he shouldn't have left it out. He knew better. I get why Elliott's mother left but I don't get why she didn't keep a relationship with Elliott. They said his dad was gone all the time ... couldn't she have visited while Vic was at sea? Or couldn't she have contacted Del when he turned 18 and given all her info for Del to pass to him (assuming she couldn't call the house). I need them to calm down on the pond jumping .. I won't be able to keep up soon. If Colton knew about the pond why did he spend all that money on a PI and all that time in the boat searching for him in the water? I'm guessing season 1 writers thought Colton didn't know ... but season 3 writers decided he did. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151480-s03e03-live-and-let-die/#findComment-8559538
LGK Tuesday at 06:11 PM Share Tuesday at 06:11 PM Caught up on the first three episodes -- yeah, there is a lot of pond jumping and I feel like it's getting a bit too convoluted. I just don't know what the end game is anymore -- it's not getting Jacob home. It's finding out the mystery of the pond? But given the time travel, that can never end. I do feel bad for Jacob. He has to be unhappy. Amazingly, I like Alice better than most of the adults and that is hard to pull off. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151480-s03e03-live-and-let-die/#findComment-8560204

I think he was hoping his dad had really changed. If Vic is really engaged, what is he thinking giving his new wife the last wife's ring? And what is Elliot going to do with it? Propose to Kat with a ring from a failed marriage? Maybe that is the real reason he never gave it to his first wife. I guess you could sell it to buy a new ring though. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151480-s03e03-live-and-let-die/#findComment-8560398
