Sounds delicious. We loved our Civic when we had it but found the newer models too expensive ( at least up here). Fried clams are yum!

Everyone I know who has ever had a Civic loves it. My son's first car was a Civic and he still talks about it.

As a native New Englander, fried clams are my lifeblood. I love them, but rarely eat them because fattening. But after several hours at the Honda dealership I felt that I deserved a treat. I don't even DRIVE. This was alien turf for me.

Hi All! Just joining now, was busy with work.  I actually remember this ridiculous looking couple - or, rather, I remember having watched their episode, not anything about them.  Hope this one is not a snoozefest like the episodes have been lately.

Eating habit tonight will be baked tilapia.  And probably a baked potato.  Lunch was Trader Joe's Japanese fried rice with shrimp I just added for extra protein.  This is the second week of the Lent and I am kind of semi-permanently semi-hungry and almost can empathize with the poundticipants.  Moreso because I am also in need of losing some 20 pounds.

I also tried Trader Joe's kung pao brussels sprouts this week and I did not like them, despite generally liking kung pao chicken and kung pao shrimp and loving brussels sprouts (which I don't overcook, unlike them).

Dear God these two are so doleful and spiritless, I am dying of boredom. Anyone have anecdotes? @sainte-chapelle, any improvement in the vertigo?

I'm on vacation for the rest of the week. Today I slept (on and off) until almost noon. Guess I was recovering from the clock change.

Amanda Seyfried was on Jimmy Fallon (which I don't watch) last week and then she was on Seth Meyers (which I do watch) and youtube suggested this lovely clip from her appearance on Fallon.

More of these people should probably do water workouts.

I agree.  Most of them have painful joints due to all the extra weight, water should make exercise easier.

Speaking of pool, I started taking swimming lessons in December to help overcome some of my handicaps.  It helped, I can swim on my back now, after being scared of turning over for 40 years. :)  I am still a poor swimmer but I am better and just need to practice more, and at least I know what the proper form/movements should be even if I am not as coordinated yet as I would like.

A bit better thanks. The temperature dropped like a rock so I’ve been on the couch with a tension headache all day….boooo.  How is your mom?

Not great. She's declining. Our favorite HHA, who's been with us since October, doesn't think she'll last the summer. We're prepared. My brother spoke with the agency and we are now getting HHA coverage in the afternoons, every day, which has done wonders for him, he's not tied to my mother's house every day, he can go home, get his rest, and tend  to his own life.

She is adorable. And what a pretty voice she has!

Hiya, darlings! I wondered if we were watching this repeat so was not in a huge hurry to jump in. Glad to see the gangs all here!

Eating habit was cheese ravioli and one hot Italian sausage. Glass of wine. I vaguely remember these people but not enough to care about them!

I love love love my Honda Civic. Great car. It's a 2012 and other than routine maintenance, I've had no problems with it at all.

I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ve been there. It is so difficult and exhausting and stressful. You all take care of yourselves. I am guessing my mystery ailments are likely due to all the pent up stress I was experiencing.

She is lovely but I really disliked her after watching The Dropout…she was just that good

I couldn't quite make out what they were saying - they are hoping that they can go shopping for food after Vionne loses enough weight to get surgery???  Isn't that the most perverse motivation to lose weight?  And do they think that surgery is a magic 'eat whatever you want, however much you want for the rest of your life' free pass?  So many on this show share in that delusion...

Yeah, these two are completely missing the point. And all they talk about is food, still. They are not making the effort.

As she was stepping onto the scale I was saying, out loud "MAYBE ten pounds".

What a pair of sad sacks.

Apparently that's what she learned during the pandemic.

Here's the full interview segment on the Tonight Show page (which I haven't watched yet).

I can't remember the last time I had Velveeta...

I have a 2010 Honda Accord.   The battery died on me (in the fourth underground level of the parking garage at Stamford train station during Friday afternoon rush hour traffic... sigh.  It took forever to get someone to help.   Other than that, it's just regular maintenance and zero trouble.  I am going to get to 95,000 miles soon.

What I don't get is why Vianney says she feels lonely.  The two of them are always together, aren't they?  OR is it because he is doing so much better than her, so she feels left behind and would rather whine about it than increase her effort?
