The M-Tex/cartel war is on!

The Texas National Guard’s presence on the patch has created more troubles than expected.

Seriously, why doesn’t Angela remember to check on her injured son? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Cooper has Tommy’s quick thinking skill when he refuses to budge to Rebecca’s intimidation. She shows her desperation when she tries to pin the blame (rig explosion) on Cooper.

But Cooper quitting his job to stand by Ariana is plain stupid. First, he left college just 2 months before completing his degree and now this. Dude, she isn’t even sure of her feelings for you and she thinks you’re a worm! 🙄

Quote

“I think God knows exactly when we’re leaving this place before he ever puts us here. Actors in play, that’s all we are.”

There’s a death on the horizon. Who is it going to be? 👀

They are way too active for nursing home residents.

It could be a nursing home/assisted living facility.  There are some facilities set up like that.  I still find it unbelievable that Angela actually cared enough to stop that first time and go in there, but now it's her life's mission?  I'm not buying it!  ;)

I don't think she's even asked Tommy how he's doing now that he's out of the hospital.  If she did, I missed it.

I was rooting for Ariana & the other women to get more money out of the company after seeing Rebecca's intimidation on full display.  Rebecca had no sympathy for them at all.  It's all business with her (which I understand, but she's heartless!)

I like this show somewhat enough but it's like in all of TS shows the women have to be whores or heartless. I get so sick of Anglea and her daughter pretending they invented sex and that it's something the rest of the world ain't figured out yet.

Tommy preaching abstinence to a boy that almost screwed his daughter the first night in the bed of a pickup truck is just strange.

I would watch BBT in pretty much anything so I hope some of the obnoxious characters will get killed off.

I just took it as he was in over his head with her. I don't get any of that entire situation. Why is that girl trying so hard to be with him 5 minutes after her husband died? I get loss and grief but dang. I feel some type of way about it. She acts like she doesn't know another soul and that Cooper is her fairy godmother. I want to like her but I don't. Lol

I imagine that Ariana feels very alone. None of the family members around her are her family (except the baby), and I doubt she's had the time to make friends. Cooper is the first person to treat her as something other than Wife or Mother. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt because she admits that it makes no sense that she's feeling this way about Cooper. She even admits that her feelings of grief could be making her needy.

I don't know, I like her. She and Cooper are my favorite characters besides Tommy.

I will say that the entire money subplot is TV handwaving. Anytime there's a significant worker injury, especially a death, OSHA is automatically involved. If M-Tex would try to cover that up, they'd be in big trouble. And minimum payouts after a death are determined by OSHA, not the company. But I liked watching Cooper stand up to the attorney, so I'll forgive it.

From fluentslang.com: The phrase originated from American football, where a punter may kick the ball too far down the field, allowing the opposing player to slip through gaps in the coverage. In a romantic context, it means that you have successfully attracted a partner who is considered to be “out of your league.”

Can we just hope and the ex-wife and daughter are kidnapped or killed by the cartel as retribution to the killing of their men, so we no longer have to put up with their slutty ways.

I can understand that the daughter sees this as the only way she can get through life is on her back,  as this is how she grew up and saw that's how her mother gets things, but seeing how normal Cooper is, why is the daughter such a screw up?

I need you in the writer's room stat.

I think because they act like she is princess peach. He doesn't get the same reverence. So many of their conversations are about the daughter. But Cooper does seem to actively try to avoid them and I couldn't blame him for that.

Ariana was very direct when she told Tommy that dinner was over and then told him to leave.  She acted like Angela in that moment, and that's why Tommy told Cooper that he outkicked his coverage.

Cooper is too laid back, and Ariana is more aggressive.  If those two end up together, she'll be the one wearing the pants in the family.  Kudos to Cooper though for getting her a higher settlement.  Rebecca just about crapped her pants when she knew she was played!
