Excellent season finale and I liked the first season and am glad it is going on. Travis Fimmels twitching his one eye all season payed off for me in a particular traumatizing way.

So in her own mind Tula didn't abandon her baby but tried to save him from becoming Valya's puppet. But instead, he became a puppet of a "machine".

If Desmond's powers are coming from a machine/nanotech, humanity should have invented plenty of ways to stop/destroy robotics during the war, like an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) or something that would render Desmond essentially human.

I am surprised that the palace doesn't have something like that (something to short out electronics, a signal jammer, or an EMP) that people would have to walk through to prove they are human to get into the palace. It would have eliminated most of the plot points of this season.

Well, maybe he can free himself next season with the help of his new found mother. I look forward to those 2 characters interactions.

Wow, that was high camp. Almost on the level of "Flash Gordon" and "Space Balls" but unintentionally, I suppose.

I hope they will top it in season two.

I wasn't interested until the final which finally got me. Although it's even now a little bit confusing when time is constantly changing.

I agree, up until the finale….shrugs….it was just okay. The Harkonnen sisters were the main draw. I think this needed more episodes first season, imagine if we got twenty or twenty six. 

Will Nez stay on Arrakis and become a wild reverend mother? Will Theodosia mimic the dead emperor and take up the reins of government? What will happen to Lila?
