bunnyface Thursday at 02:42 AM Share Thursday at 02:42 AM Well, he's consistent. Johnny is ALWAYS an asshole no matter the day or circumstances or surroundings. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8536400
AntFTW Thursday at 04:10 AM Author Share Thursday at 04:10 AM The usual suspects make it to another final; Jordan, Johnny, and Tori. Then, there's also Derek. Happy for him to make it to a final. I wanted Tori to win that elimination. Who comes up with these torturous eliminations? This is probably the worst elimination all season. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8536500
Lantern7 Thursday at 07:01 AM Share Thursday at 07:01 AM (edited) Is there any word as to when the season wraps up? I think it might have been better if they put off this episode until January. Then again, the finale might take two episodes. Also, I'm thinking S40 will be forgotten once AS5 starts up. Johnny has always been an asshole. Why stop now? Rachel flashback to The Gauntlet with Sarah? Good times. I still think Rachel lucked into her first win because no one on her team saw her as expendable, even though she didn't live up to the hype. I'm not caring who wins. It'll probably be Jordan. Kyland winning might be nice. Derek winning would be unexpected. I'm glad Jenny didn't do her confessionals in a bra like when she conducted the interrogation (or whatever the hell it's called). I think her chest can compete with Olivia's in terms of being mesmerizing. mojoween Thursday at 01:55 PM Share Thursday at 01:55 PM John gets what he wants. Dopes. So we finally get to find out what these karma votes do? That elimination may have been difficult, but it was also lame as hell. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8536657

I was so hoping Jenny lost and was thrown in and had to go against Rachel, then of course Bananas wouldn't have gloated and we wouldn't have been in danger of losing Cara or Tori. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8536741
aghst Thursday at 06:17 PM Share Thursday at 06:17 PM Going on that ship was going to be a bad omen for Cara, after the way she flubbed the swimming in the previous episode. Also not looking good for Kyland in the Final as it appears there will be a lot of swimming. The Daily looked grueling, going up and down carrying weights. They really had the women carry the same sized blocks and beams as the men? Tori decided just to take it easy, stay ahead of Michelle but Michelle comes from behind and beats her on the puzzle. At least Tori didn't complain, seems like she could have gone harder on the endurance aspect. Was she trying to save her stamina for the Final? Well now having had to tread water for 2.5 hours, she may be weary the next morning. This season, they really made them show their conditioning because the previous one had a long swimming component and looks like they're going to do more. There are probably enough puzzles to kind of level the field between people with different levels of conditioning but otherwise, it's one of the fairest competitions I recall in awhile. Jenny has asthma, that could cause her problems if it's as grueling as TJ hinted. But the karma points too, that might also negate the swimming and physical aspects. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8536849
LaurelleJ Thursday at 11:03 PM Share Thursday at 11:03 PM I was really hoping it was going to be Cara vs. Michele for the elimination, but Tori losing was a surprise. I wanted Tori to win the elimination, glad she did. I think the best and most entertaining final on the women's side would have been Rachel, Jenny, Cara, and Tori. I don't expect much from Michele in the final but maybe I will be surprised. Tori is at a disadvantage having done that tough challenge and then tiring elimination right before the final. I wonder why TJ told them to put on their challenge gear for the elimination. I was expecting him to say that the final started right after the elimination. My prediction is Jordan, Kyland, bananas, Derek; Tori, Rachel, Jenny, Michele. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8537045

I wanted Michele and Jenny since I'm not a fan but Cara and Michele would have been good but I'm not sure if Michele would have beat her in this type of event? Probably not. Sounds about the right order of who wins. Wasn't fair to have that type of elimination challenge right before the final. Anyone here have any thoughts about Jenny and how she did in the daily before the last elimination that she "won"?? I saw a lot about in on The Challenge FB pages. I put "won" in quotes because it looked weird that her board looked wrong but they showed she got it correct and won. But then she said that they showed the first attempt she did that was wrong and not the second one that she said she got right and won off of. I'd probably not think about it as much if she wasn't the winner. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8537893

That would be the most unexpected win. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8539357
Duke Silver 21 hours ago Share 21 hours ago So....am I correct in assuming this "Karma points" thingy is all about incentivizing competitors into being nice to each other? If so, why in the fuck would a reality tv show want that? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8539412

If they were trying to incentivize niceness, I feel like they would have told them about the karma points while they were in the game. The people still left in the game have no idea about these "karma points" and have no idea that it will affect them in the final. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8539437

I don’t think they find out about the Karma points until they are eliminated. I agree it may be all about payback, or for helping a friend. But TJ never explained this to the eliminated contestants at least, not that we saw. The contestants just assumed that 5 was good and 1 was a bad score. aghst 17 hours ago Share 17 hours ago They'd maximize the drama by telling all of them about the karma points. Then you'd have to really play up the social game, not to antagonize people who could hurt your chances. AntFTW 7 hours ago Author Share 7 hours ago By the way, when TH said they were going to a place a little less green, I was thinking somewhere like Iceland or anywhere where it’s snowing and covered in ice. They end up going to The Philippines, a place that looks pretty green. 😂 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151128-s40e17-location-change-era/#findComment-8539731
