Pi237 November 20, 2024 Share November 20, 2024 I can’t wait to see Vanessa after her surgery. I’m guessing she will get it. I hope so. Of course, it won’t be perfect, smooth skin, but that poor woman has worked so hard for so long-it’s nearly Impossible to keep That kind of weigh off long term and so far she’s doing it. But people who get gung ho like she has, when they have a disappointment, tend to go just as hard in the opposite direction. And who could blame her? Hauling that heavy skin around must be miserable. Plus, having to give up everything you enjoy at the same time. Scott’s Mom threw him under the bus, backed it up and ran back over him again, twice lol. But good for her. He needs to stop being a big lying baby. Only 15lbs in two months. He probably didn’t start the diet until that week. He’s going to struggle because he’s not at step 1 of addiction recovery which is admitting you have a problem. He’s still justifying his eating. Do they get therapy? He needs an addiction counselor. New Tina, I felt for her with the nerves. That gallstone!! I had no idea they could get that big, and he said it grew to that size in ‘probably a year’ just a year! That was impressive. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150706-s03e04-dont-cry-for-me-our-friend-tina/#findComment-8512838
CrazyInAlabama November 20, 2024 Author Share November 20, 2024 That gallstone of Tina's was huge! Did Dr. Procter not send someone else to inform her husband that surgery would be running long, and it wasn't a sign of a bad outcome? I'm hoping they did tell Matt, and it just wasn't shown. 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150706-s03e04-dont-cry-for-me-our-friend-tina/#findComment-8512853

Dr. Now on 600 lb Life has performed the operation on some who were way larger than Vanessa. Making her haul that hanging abdomen skin for a year seems cruel to me. She was told they want her to get down to 180 before doing the surgery but without all of that skin she'll probably weigh less than that easily. The last surgeon even noted how tiny she is. I hope she gets it. Scott is a big lying baby. Why lie to the doctor? It's not going to make him approve you for surgery any sooner. And stop eating the junk when you know it's going to hinder your weight loss goal. Cudos to his mom for calling him out. He needs tough love at this point. 3 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150706-s03e04-dont-cry-for-me-our-friend-tina/#findComment-8513590
Pi237 November 21, 2024 Share November 21, 2024 I thought of Dr. Now , too! He's hacked into bigger people who've lost a lot less weight than Vanessa did. He'd be ballroom dancing with Betsy Mae! 9 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150706-s03e04-dont-cry-for-me-our-friend-tina/#findComment-8513621

Tipsymcstagger November 21, 2024 Share November 21, 2024 I’m truly shocked at how much more I like Vanessa this year vs the past seasons. Yes she’s crass and pretty low-brow but I think she has a pretty good heart and has definitely proven to be much more serious and hard working than the rest of the “friends”. I hope after she gets skin surgery someone can recommend a good oral surgeon. Honestly - if she fixed her teeth it would make soooo much of a difference in her appearance. I’m rooting for her and I never thought I’d say that. Megan is such a non-entity. Just a complete waste of bandwidth. She’s never going to do what needs to be done to improve herself. She’s just plain lazy. And I’m glad Ashley finally came to the realization that she needs to lose more weight and sustain that before she even thinks about having a child. Tina 2.0 seems ok. Kind of meh on her. I guess we’ll see if she’ll be the next Vanessa or the next Megan. And Scott needs to grow up and realize that the only thing he has to his advantage is his youth. If he doesn’t take his weight loss seriously he won’t be around much longer. He’s a big, petulant baby. 8 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150706-s03e04-dont-cry-for-me-our-friend-tina/#findComment-8514344
SunnyBeBe November 22, 2024 Share November 22, 2024 I didn’t see that Ashley realized she needed to lose more weight before getting pregnant. She seemed to think the doctor was being overly harsh. How does she not realize she’s still way overweight? Unbelievable she would stop her weight loss to get pregnant and start gaining weight. Very odd, imo. Yes, I pray someone helps Vanessa with her dental repair. It would mean a huge difference in her life, I think. I could barely believe she is only 45 years old. I had excessive hair shedding after my weight loss too. It’s returning, but I’m taking pills for it too. Scott is frustrating. I don’t see any real desire to change his life. He doesn’t even seem to want to date. He reminds me of someone I know. The addiction just overpowers them. I wonder if there are places they can go for inpatient care. 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150706-s03e04-dont-cry-for-me-our-friend-tina/#findComment-8514375
