snarts Tuesday at 12:45 PM Share Tuesday at 12:45 PM Quote Gary tries to correct course after kissing Danni; Gary tries to motivate Emma in new ways; Chef Cloyce struggles; Diana lets Keith in on a forbidden secret. Aired 11.11.2024 I agree with Daisy: Gary uses constantly uses alcohol as an excuse for bad behavior while Cloyce is both arrogant & lazy. Family style is not five star, regardless of what's on the plate. That caesar salad was utter weak sauce, I make better at home. Oh, and poor little Cloyce was so hungover he needed a nap just to get through the day. Emma really does stand around doing a lot of nothing. Yet, she's so quick to act like a victim. Beginning to see why she's had so many different jobs. 4 5 Link to comment
Baltimore Betty Tuesday at 01:01 PM Share Tuesday at 01:01 PM Diana is playing dirty but my question is, when she told Keith that Danni kissed Gary (I mean who doesn't kiss him, blech), Keith's reaction was that Danni and Gary hooked up, to me hooking up means knocking boots, doing the horizontal mambo, becoming the beast with two backs...you know full on sex and Diana let Keith believe it. Dirty Diana. Emma is Eyore, she does not apply herself to any task and cannot understand why Gary has to talk to her constantly about her work performance. I think she has a confidence problem and if she is assigned a task maybe Gary could atta girl her a bit and maybe she would feel confident to try harder on another task, it is worth trying right? Cloyce has bitten off more than he can chew with being a chef on a yacht, being young shouldn't be a problem but not listening to Daisy who has ten years of experience is foolish. Daisy flat out told him that the guest wants plated meals but I do disagree with her wanting breakfast plated, that is not the meal to do that unless Cloyce is making eggs benedict or french toast for a main course otherwise let the guests graze but have a special for each morning. Cloyce could have done a tableside Caesar presentation, cheesy but I think the guests would have liked that. 6 Link to comment

I don't think so. If she needs hand holding that badly nothing is going to help. She wouldn't even try to do what Gary asked her and let Keith take over. Even though she seemed perfectly capable of doing it herself. 3 hours ago, snarts said: Emma really does stand around doing a lot of nothing. Yet, she's so quick to act like a victim. aghst Wednesday at 02:57 AM Share Wednesday at 02:57 AM Cloyce isn’t stepping up but when the guests complain about the family style she doesn’t have to agree with them. Also did the jet lagged guest care? Seemed like they just wanted to eat something and go to bed. They probably were required to dress up and be filmed for dinner. Daisy criticizing Gary, well considering that she kissed him as well, maybe even do more than kiss him between seasons, should she really be commenting on his behavior? Well it is Gary so she must. Yeah Emma is coasting but so what, this short stint on the show isn’t going to make her more or less attractive to potential employers, even if she doesn’t get fired during the season. 1 Link to comment
SemiCharmedLife Wednesday at 06:08 AM Share Wednesday at 06:08 AM I was very surprised that the guest was sooooo upset about not having a plated meal. I can't believe that is such a big thing. If it were me, I would focus on the taste and presentation of the food. I agree that Cloyce seems to be taking the easy way out and needs to step up his game, but I can't believe the import being placed on how the meal is served. I'm sure the tip will be affected. aghst Wednesday at 06:22 AM Share Wednesday at 06:22 AM They also mentioned the breakfast not being plated. Do they plate breakfast? Well Daisy said Cloyce's breakfast was like airport hotel, not 5-star. There must be really fancy breakfasts out there where they're trying to make breakfast foods look good enough for Bon Appetit or something. 1 Link to comment

There must be really fancy breakfasts out there where they're trying to make breakfast foods look good enough for Bon Appetit or something. Typically, the chefs offer daily breakfast specials or made to order eggs to accompany the fresh fruit, baked goods, etc. Examples: Ben's lobster eggs benedict or Rachel's brioche french toast. One of the chefs even baked fresh bread, muffins & croissants daily. Meanwhile Cloyce sends out platters of plain scrambled eggs, sausage links & mini muffins that indeed look like they could be on an airport hotel's continental breakfast buffet. The guests were already disappointed by dinner service so the lackluster breakfast immediately following was just icing on the cake. 6 Link to comment

aqusdealer Wednesday at 05:29 PM Share Wednesday at 05:29 PM It's suppposed to be 5 star service. That means most people that ask for plated and beautifully appointed food should get just that. If it were me, lunch off site would be the only place for family style food...and that would be perfectly fine. I've been to diners in my home town that do a nicer job serving breakfast. A pile of scrambled eggs with a little chopped scallion on top is more of a crew mess service. Cloyce better get with the program and realize where he is or he'll probably be replaced. 3 Link to comment
jennyf Thursday at 03:11 AM Share Thursday at 03:11 AM It was the mini activia yogurts in a bowl of ice that put it in the budget hotel buffet category. If you’re serving breaking on a yacht and you want guests to have parfait options, serve a big bowl of plain yogurt and offer dried fruits, granola, nuts etc. Not activia! 3 2 3 1 Link to comment

See that is where life experience comes in to play, Cloyce may know how to make a good cream sauce or how to butter poach a lobster but you have to be aware of how guests know from good service, high end food, etc...because they have all been out there in the world experiencing the finer things in life, Cloyce is not old enough to have that polish and finesse without having life experiences. That said, he needs to listen to Daisy and in turn, Daisy should have emptied all the yogurt containers into one bowl, gotten some fruit and granola into other bowls and served it. I am sure Cloyce would have wondered what she was doing and maybe would have learned something. 2 1 Link to comment
