Maybe non-coma patient was bothered by the indoor air quality. If he revives whenever they give him fresh air, that would be an interesting case. Test his blood gasses, team!

I hated the plot with the intern who was supposedly redeemed by shaving the patient, instead of trying to find medical clues.

Brain stuff is scary. I had a friend when I was growing up, whose mother one day hauled off and hit her. Turns out mom had a brain tumor. She had never previously shown any signs of volatility, rage, violence, or erratic behavior. Trauma was had by all. But she did recover, so at least nobody died, unlike this week's sad tale.

It's not just me, is it, who sees every single interaction between Wolf and The Surgeon as flirtatious?

I was relieved to get a break from Wolf's mother issues this week, but I didn't really think having father issues was anything I wantyed for him, either. I don't think it's reasonable to expect a kid to choose between his parents in that way, and if dad was erratic, there's no reason for the kids to choose him as a primary caregiver, either. So Wolf's guilt seemed absurd. Maybe there's more to it than what we saw, but honestly-- I'm not interested in the trend of stories about mopey dudes who have family of origin angst we are all asked to join them in wallowing in.

I really like this show and mostly buy into its central premise, but this episode was pretty patchy. Wolf is eccentric and dedicated but even for him, taking untested drugs from a patient didn’t ring true. Plus the discovery he made of the freezer fiancé could’ve probably been revealed with some directed questioning of the fiancé. I liked the plot otherwise though, especially Wolf apologizing to Dang ; it’s rare for onscreen brilliance to not also go hand in hand with casual asshole behaviour. Especially with a show like this, but so far all the characters, even the more prickly ones, are grounded and kind. It’s refreshing.

I agree that the apology was a highlight. Not being an asshole is refreshing anywhere, but extra rare on shows with a leading character billed as a renegade and a genius.

Of course, yes, the bride did kill the groom, but the groom gave her that dumb untested pill.

I thought this episode was pretty stupid.  I don't think drugs necessarily affect everyone in the same way,  so that method seemed really off and dangerous to me. However I am enjoying the show, good acting maybe?

I really liked the character Dana, who took care of Dr. Wolf, she seemed more competent than the rest.

I really didn’t like the doctor taking the pill.  It just wasn’t right.

I am interested in the John Doe storyline.  It will be interesting to see how that develops.

Like all 4 of the interns. It will also be interesting to see how they develop.

It would have been smarter if Dr. Wolf saved a portion of the pill to be analyzed.

I thought taking the patients drugs was just plain stupidity. I can't believe he didn't get fired.

I really felt for the bride. I kept waiting for them to call her family or friends or something, it seemed odd that she was so alone.

In the flashbacks, Wolf's father sounds just like him. It almost makes me think they are dubbing in Zachary Quinto's voice.

Him taking the drugs was hilariously dumb. The second the vows said "pancakes" I shouted "MAPLE SYRUP URINE DISEASE" (not syndrome)

Is it just me, or does Ashleigh LaThrop (I had to look her up...and her character's name) remind anyone of Jasika Nicole with her performance?

Also, why was that one intern there during the hypnotherapy? Is it because he has the superpower of feeling people's emotions?

I think Dana with the bad attitude and lots of experience with drugs is going to be my favorite.

And yes, it sounds like the father has Quinto's voice.

Not just you — that’s who Dr. Ericka With a C and a K reminds me of! Thank you.

Downing the amnesiac bride’s mystery pill doesn’t so much read “fearless commitment to patient care and advocacy” so much as “staggering lack of judgment and impulse control,” but that scene was almost worth it for Dr. Ericka’s look of goggle-eyed “Did you just take drugs?!” horror. Almost.

Fun fact: Rachel Sutherland, listed as producer for this episode (why didn’t I notice earlier?), is the twin sister of Kiefer.
