I don’t know any other details about the episode and I’m already skeptical. Not because Kidd’s perfect, but because Pascal seems, to put it charitably, lacking in  self-awareness.

And what are the odds that if it is Stella who is demoted or transferred or whatever, that next week will be our first Boden sighting to come to the rescue?

Damon is so whiny!  There's just something about him that's so immature. The actor seemed good, but I hope the character is gone. I'm guessing he'll still show up though, trying to have a relationship with Kelly...

I still don't know what to think of Pascal. His wife is more than a bit off, though.

Mouch... always coming through for everyone else. It was nice to see, but also, was no one ever going to tell Pascal that Damon and Severide are related?

Yes, fire Stella! No, Mouch! Damn you! Why can't we have nice things?

Carver's girlfriend is a dumbass, telling Violet she deleted her texts. Uh, they work side by side. Violet can just show him the texts on her phone and tell him she deleted them. Game over.

I don't know what the hell is going on with Pascal and his wife. At first I thought their marital problems were based around him being a hothead who beats people up all the time but no, apparently she gets off on it. So what gives?

If Pascal fired Stella, all that would happen is she'd go over to OFI and get pregnant (a la Gabby).  She'd be good at that too, because Kelly teaches her everything he knows... They won't get rid of her. I haven't watched the credits lately, but I think at this point she's second billing, and the show has to be doing all it can to be keeping Taylor Kinney and Miranda.

So far, the Pascal character is all innuendos while his management style and personality leave much to be desired.

I don’t like how Pascal keeps referring to the turnover on truck. If we’re going by people leaving their permanent assignments, there’s only been three of them since Stella became the lieutenant. Two of them moved away away for personal reasons and one of them was quickly identified as a drug addict who was quickly removed. And none of that has anything to do with Stella‘s competency as a lieutenant.

Plus, when they talk about 51 in general, don't they make it sound like it's so rare that everyone has stayed together for so long?  Seems to me like other people bounce around from house to house all the time, and 51 is special.

Turnover is a natural thing. I don't get it as a plot point, and IRL, assignments are made at the HQ level. I can see a boss not wanting someone on his team and asking upstairs to move him, but nothing more than that.

Pascal is a Fire Breathing Chief, and that's a real thing. His leadership is not particularly bad, but it's far more demanding that we've seen for the last 12 seasons on the show. Know your role, do your job and follow orders, don't be a dick, and always be willing to learn and things will be Just Fine. For reasons that I'm sure the writers will explain as time goes on, he wants to run the tightest of tight ships. So long as he doesn't start twirling the proverbial mustache in the future I'm fine with him—for now.

His relationship with his wife is...unusual for TV but that makes it interesting as far as I'm concerned.

I feel just the opposite about Mouch.  I would never, ever take paperwork over to a BC's house (if I even knew where they lived) at nighttime and off shift.  That's pushing boundaries in a big way.  Bring those files into his office.

Noooo, the Rice Cooker of Death is back!  And by the way, Chief, who wears their white duty uniform shirt into a soot stained building?  Put a jacket on!

Gotta give it to Ritter for not just surviving but shaking off the Wile E Coyote launch out of that 2d story window like it was nothing.

I watched this rerun last night, and I caught something I didn't hear before.  When Stella asks to remove Damon from Truck, she says that he disobeyed an order on that boat call, but also that he was not honest about other things in the past.  Pascal didn't ask about things?  Didn't want to know that everyone in the house is hiding the fact that he's Severide's brother?  Hmm...
