threebluestars October 3 Share October 3 I really enjoyed this. Reminded me of S1. I like the new cop, hope she's sticking around. 4 Link to comment
FnkyChkn34 October 3 Share October 3 I agree that I finally liked an episode again. The end was very abrupt, but it worked. Nicely done. 1 Link to comment

CoyoteBlue October 3 Share October 3 I like Trudy being involved with the team more. I really loved the episode. Story, pacing, cinematography, use of the whole team. New patrol officer seems solid. Don't know if she'll end up with the lighter B-story "comedy" like Atwater and Burgess occasionally got, but I like them getting that patrol element back in the mix. But damn, girl, offer Ruz a hit of that hand sanitizer hanging off your vest. I appreciate the symbolism of the bloody hands, but he gettin' crusty. 3 Link to comment
anna0852 October 3 Share October 3 Can’t imagine Patrick enjoyed having the fake blood on for the whole shoot. That’s a lot of time in the makeup chair. Link to comment
Guildford October 3 Share October 3 Phew, what a ride. It was a great episode, & kept me invested the whole time. Paddy was just on a whole other level, I enjoyed his partnering with Kiana. It was a great choice & I loved seeing the dynamic of different people together. Seeing Trudy so much was a complete joy, her Mumma Bear kicked in & bubbled away underneath her Cop mode. "It's not good" ... the way Paddy played that scene. 🥹 The whole vibe this season is on point. It feels lighter, even though it's been two heavy episodes, the actors seem more up for it. They are centric without being myopic... it feels like TPTB finally looked at the feedback from the last few seasons to heart. Last season Paddy commented that both he & Marina had to go ask the writers if Burzek were still engaged because it was never mentioned after episode 3... this season Kim has been mentioned in both episodes. It doesn't take much. 1 Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy October 4 Author Share October 4 A very solid, adrenaline-fueled episode with Adam on auto-pilot the whole time. He doesn’t have time to process and feel things. He needs to hit the ground running. An emotionally compelling performance by Paddy Flueger. 👏🏻 In the middle of the chaos, Officer Kiana Cook makes her debut in a memorable way. You can see the horror on Trudy’s face after hearing an Intelligence officer has been shot. Deputy Chief Reid is supportive of the whole situation. Voight and him also agree on the same thing. Quote “We’ll feel it later.” Geez, why nobody remembers to notify Torres that Nate has a gun? Thank god he manages to adapt and improvise. He handles Nate incredibly well. 👏🏻 Voight calling Torres by his first name — huh, since when? 🤔 *️⃣ I do not miss Kim at all… 1 Link to comment

They were most memorably said by Farmer Hoggett in the movie "Babe." Three words. That'll do..." But with that said, egads, what a hell of an episode. This one and last week. No punches pulled, no superfluous BS, no relationship draaaaaaahma, no plot holes you could run a Green Line train through. Just solid action with great pacing. Link to comment
Nintra16 October 4 Share October 4 Just caught this week's episode... Amazing!!! That was soooo good! I screamed the whole time from when they were about to ram his car to when the car blew up. That scene was FANTASTIC! Loved to see Trudy and the Squad. The packed squad room looks good. Was surprised that Trudy and Hank had to get second hand knowledge that Martel was shot. I thought Voight's radio was hooked in? Why didn't anyone tell Dante that Nate had a gun? I was yelling that too when he drew down. Adam could use a happy medium between last season's weight and this season IMO. The actor is fantastic either way. I'm looking forward to this season. I know the showrunners usually get a lot of negative feedback, so I wish I could let them know how awesome S12 is! P.S.- Dante's "I'm home" had me 🤣🤣 for some reason. I'm the same way. Off the clock, leave me be. 2 Link to comment

I honestly think it was the best episode of the entire series, such a strong, well rounded, fully fleshed out episode. I've watched the series from episode one, but honestly, the last few years have been half paid attention to. Not quite hate watching yet but it's like there's nothing else on, might as well at least play it off the DRV while doing other things. Not this one. This one had me paying full attention basically from the first scene. Well done, show, well done! 3 Link to comment
