Wouldn't an affiliated summer camp where he's known as "Hot Rabbi" be about the last place Noah would want to take Joanne if he's nervous about the reaction people at his temple might have to him dating her? I would imagine that even without his boss unexpectedly showing up, word about him bringing a hot blonde gentile woman to share his cabin would spread pretty quickly through the grapevine.

How liberal is the congregation? Although rabbis are obviously expected to date and marry -  is pre-marital sex a total non-issue?  (Full disclosure - I'm Catholic)  I thought it would be a bad look for the rabbi to be sharing a room with a paramour in front of all the teens?

Not to mention NO WAY would a random friend be able to attend and interact with the teens without volunteer clearance (training involved). Plus, what adult woman would bicker with a bunch of 12 year olds anyway?? 

I know this is fiction, but things like this really take me out of the moment.

That didn’t ring true for me, either. She was interacting with them as if she were a peer, not 20 years older than they were.

Quite a few actually because they want the kids to acknowledge that they are correct. I see this happen with younger substitute teachers a lot. They want to be seen as cool or one of the kids and not as the adult or authority figure.

Joanne and the teenagers had Eleanor Shelstrop written all over it. 

I agree, Noah taking Joanne to the camp made absolutely no sense if he was trying to keep the relationship away from his boss, as it certainly would have been hot gossip and made it's way back to the Temple. 

The podcast isn't live, is it?  When the mom walked into the room while they were doing the podcast, I expected her to drop Noah's name and there to be a big to do about it.  But that would only be an issue if the podcast were live, which I guess it isn't?
