I thought that most mainstream Christian religions accepted baptism from other Christian churches. My sister was baptized in the Catholic church and later on in her life she joined the Lutheran faith. She did not have to be baptized again.

I just googled it and many Christian churches specifically do not consider Mormon baptism valid… and vice versa.

Can a person be baptized into more than one church or religion  ? K&R should NOT have made that girl film that scene. She was literally crying from nerves and overwhelming emotion. WtH

Well, she's formally converting, whether or not she becomes a member of the new church.

If you've left one religion that baptizes, and are joining a new religion you might get re-baptized.

Now, I don't mean like say one mainstream Christian church for another (necessarily). A lot of Christian churches would say that LDS doctrine isn't strictly Christian, because they have other scripture in addition to the Bible, and to some extent give it primacy (and then there are the theological differences themselves).

A lot of mainstream Christian churches recognize the baptism from other mainstream Christian churches, provided the baptism format (affusion versus immersion, i.e. sprinkle versus dunk) was the acceptable to the new church, and the baptism formula was the same (most mainstream Christians baptize "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit").

The Latter-day Saints movement is different enough theologically, that some mainstream Christian churches might not accept Aurora's AUB baptism.

Also, Aurora may just want it. If she got baptized at age 8 (I think that's when mainstream LDS baptize, so I suspect it's when the AUB does too) to please her parents, and feels a real rejection of that religion in her heart, she may want this as a new start to living her chosen faith as an adult.

I’d love to know what church Aurora is going to. I don’t know of any mainstream Christian church that would allow someone not ordained, or even a member of the church, participate in a baptism. I think it must be an independent church and not part of a recognized denomination.

My daughter was baptized twice — once as an infant and again as an adult when she felt it was HER decision. It depends on the church I guess.

Yeah. Who knows in what manner Kody will really participate, either. I would imagine that living a calm life with Kody involves regularly blowing a lot of smoke up his ass.

Presumably there would be no show without Robyn, and she didn't do her fair share of the "work" on screen or raising the whole family, but legally she was probably entitled to ~1/5 th of the TLC money in the beginning.

Oh I know that! Yes, she was entitled to her share, what I meant was to question if she actually did share it!

That doesn’t mean she  gave any of it to the other wives.  Did the proceeds from her Vegas house go to the other wives? Because Janelle’s helped buy Robyn’s house.

In the previews again Kody is trying to shut down the question!! He should have to answer all the questions!

TLC should fine them for each unanswered question. Since there is nothing Kody hates more than poverty, he would be compelled to answer!

Robyn doesn't share!  Christine & Meri hosted family get togethers in the early days and several times Robyn just showed up with her spawn and didn't lift a finger to help. And I don't recall her ever feeding the whole brood of 18 at any of her houses.
