ottoDbusdriver September 12 Share September 12 That was a good episode. Garnet has to make the hard call between peace and friendship -- and she chooses a chance at peace and it cost Lane his life. Turns out the GSA did some evil shit back in the day, and Eastern Federation was not as bad as everyone thought, but they were far from innocent. That scene with all the Kellys in the observation deck was almost too much. 2 Link to comment
tv echo September 12 Share September 12 Wow - I did not see that coming. I found this episode really sad because they killed off Spencer. Yes, I see that Ian will likely be integrated into the crew and develop his own relationship with Sharon, but he's still not the same person. I thought there was good character work by the actors. I found the Angus-Kelly subplot really creepy. The reveals about the GSA and the EF were interesting, but not surprising at this point. 3 Link to comment
marinw September 12 Share September 12 CMIIW, but livers regrow. Ian could have given Spencer (or the EF captain) just part of his own liver. 3 Link to comment
KaveDweller September 14 Share September 14 I was not expecting them to kill off Spencer, I thought the clone was going to sacrifice himself and donate to everyone. The second in command for the other ship seemed a bit crazy. He didn't like that the captain was trying to make peace so he killed him, knowing it would lead to more people dying? For a minute I thought they were turning Agnus and Kelly into vampires or something. That scene was super weird. I guess Kelly was somehow signaling his brain and that's why he kept seeing her? 1 Link to comment
Terrafamilia September 15 Share September 15 Not bad but everything was telegraphed. As soon as Ian came aboard I knew that either he or Spencer wouldn't survive. It was also fairly obvious that they should have kept a very close eye on the EF captain's second. You'd have thought they would have come up with some sort of liver dialysis by that time in the future. Or artificial kidneys. Spencer or Ian could have donated part of their liver (you don't need the whole thing as that remaining will grow to compensate) and Ian could have donated a kidney for Spence, assuming he still had both of his, so this outcome was pretty contrived. 1 Link to comment

I could not believe they said it would have to be the entire liver! That was a really dumb error. You can donate one lobe and it will regrow in both donor and recipient. And he could have given one of his kidneys to Spencer. 1 Link to comment
