Oh, damn. That preview with Devin looks pretty juicy. Will Jenn pull a reverse Sam and be able to express her feelings strongly enough to convince Devin that she cares? Molly giving advice on choosing the correct person is pretty ironic since Jason didn’t choose her. So, if this were fiction, I’d take this as foreshadowing that Devin could leave but still ultimately be the one she ends up with. Oh no. Devin and Jonathan are both distant, and she is aware that she’s not feeling as strongly as Devin does—and she is going to self-sabotage. At this rate, I don’t think there’s some twist about the preview making it seem like she chooses no one. She might be there sadly holding that rose because no one else is left.

This is my WAG based on the ending being something we haven’t seen before…I wonder if Jenn proposes to Devin?  That would reassure him.

From what we were shown, Devin’s date was all about him talking about how much he loved Jenn, and her saying she hopes to get there with him. This date with Jonathan, it seems like she’s trying to convince him to fall for her; the conversations are about her vulnerability.

Why is Marcus getting A Very Special Moment with Chris Harrison? This is like a whole-ass After-School Special. Definitely seems like they’re setting him up to be the lead—the injured war veteran who was abandoned as a child and deserves to be loved. But after reading the other thread… Hopefully they’ll do some due diligence before choosing him (if Jenn doesn’t choose him herself).

They already announced Grant as the lead.  Maybe the announcement was rushed because of the due diligence you mentioned.

i really like him, but I don’t think he’s ready to be with someone else.

Yes, exactly. She hasn’t outgrown the need to chase emotionally unavailable men in attempts  to make them love her to make up for daddy leaving. With a little more maturity on her side, she’d go for a stable partner in Devin.

ETA: or it seems like we’re just about to see Devin has his own issues…
