Elizabeth is awesome. She was having a great time stirring up stuff around the Court. Stiring up trouble between Charles and Anjou. Louis's reaction that she haed arrived. Love her remark when Anjou tried to insulted her about her mother's beheading. It was fun every time she was so screen. I hope for more between her and Catherine. 

I really hope Catherine's not to trusting of her.  I love that she knew her former lady in waiting had helped Edith. Cardinal Guise has really lost it. I like that his brother doesn't even care.

Minnie Driver is great as Elizabeth.  Man, she steals every scene.  This episode was a riot with all her blunt comments.  Such a contrast to Catherine who holds everything so close to the vest.

Normally I'm a stickler for historical accuracy but having these two formidable women together is gold.

I normally do too. But this is one of the few times I don't mind. It's hard to have Catherine and Elizabeth on the same show and not have them meet.

Minnie Driver in that makeup has a scary clown face so, unfortunately, I can't take her acting seriously.  Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth looked more like the real Elizabeth that I've seen in portraits.

Well, to me, she comes off as more creepy scary than fun.  Charles had an "oh fuck" look on his face when he saw her.

Minnie Driver!!  That’s who she is!  I had been wracking my brain trying to place the actress since she first appeared onscreen.  I kept thinking, “boy, she looks familiar,” but I honestly didn’t recognize her and never bothered to look it up.  That’s so funny to me.  Either the makeup and acting is really good or I’m just getting old.

Elizabeth’s comeback to Anjou was pure gold. Minnie Driver is a hoot in this.

Didn't aristocrafts wear white, lead-based face paint back then? That was my thought upon seeing Driver's makeup.

I've seen the white makeup on Cate Blanchett in her Eliabeth movies.  For me, it's the shape of Minnie Driver's face, especially when she smiles, that make her look like an evil clown.
