Snazzy Daisy August 15 Share August 15 The narrator has asked us to be patient with the 2 storylines because everything will eventually make sense. It doesn’t take a genius to know this since we see vapid Eve appears in both stories. Duh. Rosa borrowing a “super cute top” from a corpse she’s autopsying is twisted and disturbing. 😳 I wonder what kind of curse the vaguely mystical Dragon Queen will put on that property developer, Christopher. 2 Link to comment
SeanBug August 16 Share August 16 I am a fan of Carl Hiaasen but hadn't read this book. The narration was bugging me in the first episode, but fortunately they didn't seem to be using it as much in the second. I'm still not sure why they felt it necessary. Books are adapted all the time without the need of an audiobook accompaniment. I guess sometimes it takes sticking with an episode or two to get into a show. By the end of second episode I was really enjoying this. Well of course the two stories are going to come together. Do they think no one has ever read a crime thriller? Why would anyone tell two stories at the same time that had nothing in common. So the kid who was shot was the one who took the arm out and dumped it, I'm guessing. The only thing I can say is they better leave the little Pomeranian alone. Unless he's going to go outside the wife's house and dig up a body part. 1 Link to comment
aghst August 17 Share August 17 So they really like Tom Petty, both of the first two episodes features different Petty tracks. It’s set in the present but features music which is 30-40 years old. Is it trying to set a retro vibe or did they get a deal on the music clearance. Yancy didn’t know if Rosa was old enough to have seen The Real World. Shawoman’s magic is bringing Yancy and. Neville together? Otherwise wondering if she will appear in any more eps. Rob Delaney’s character is a radical departure if you’ve only seen him on Catastrophe. Guess he couldn’t get a gig on Bad Sisters. Link to comment
Anela August 17 Share August 17 Did the hand on the arm, have its middle finger extended? I wish they’d put all of the episodes up at once. 2 Link to comment

But overall I’m enjoying it. I’m a fan of Hiaasen but I’ve forgotten enough details so it’s basically new to me. Link to comment
sjankis630 August 18 Share August 18 I don't know but I felt this episode was a little bit worse than the first one. It just didn't gel for me for some reason. And they are doing 10 episodes? If this goes 1 per week for the future I am not sure this will hold my interest. Link to comment

That would make sense, except how the scene played made me think we're supposed to consider her playful/quirky/madcap. Which would mean the creators are not as aware as they should be about how their characters are landing. 1 Link to comment
