Doesn’t look good for Raymond. I hope he’ll be okay.

Fuck you, Rusty. Barbara kissing the bartender is not the same as your affair. And your affair was a not a “mistake” when you kept fucking Carolyn over and over. Stop playing the victim and shut up.

Yeah he has no right to get mad at her.

OTOH, what was the point of her telling him?  Just unburdening herself.

Wow what timing for Raymond and Rusty.

And the son hearing that Carolyn was having trouble with someone at work is probably going to turn out to be sad Tommy Molto and his cat.

That evil deranged Molto!  If Rusty is acquitted I hope Barbara leaves him.

There are just 2 episodes left.

They've put in a lot of scenes to make Rusty unlikeable.

Not sure why the writers are doing that except maybe to fill out the episode count?

It's very hard to believe that Rusty became the lead prosecutor in the Chicago DA's office behaving like this.

If you alienate other people, how do you reach a high, public position which requires support by coworkers and others?

Yet it seems like he was well-liked by his colleagues, while Molto wasn't.

This series is so painstakingly boring. I couldn't make it through this episode and don't even care how it ends at this point.  The whole thing feels like it was filmed in slow motion; even the actors seem to be speaking slowly.  I never thought I would yawn my way through something that features both Jake Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard but here we are.

I was really rooting for Raymond!

And I hated Rusty for trying to make it seem like Barbara had done something terrible. She couldn't even bring herself to have sex with the bartender. Meanwhile, Rusty impregnated and stalked his coworker. He was definitely playing the victim when Barbara could have said she was out from day 1 and that would have been bad for his case.

I think she blurted it out but also was hoping Rusty would care - but in an apologetic, remorseful, romantic kind of way. It backfired and Rusty just showed more of his ugly ass.

I love this show. And I handwave little inconsistencies but we haven't seen Rusty being a great, well-liked guy. We're told he is and that's why these people stick their necks out for him and Tommy is envious of him. But I've never seen it, ya know. Like, how was he a great dad before he had to sit down and discuss his murder trial with his kids? How much time did he make for his wife before running off to Carolyn? When was he a likeable coworker outside of stalking (Carolyn) or dupin (Raymond) or asking huge favors (Rodriguez)? I don't need to like Rusty but I wish I had seen him be someone other than a stalking, hot-headed liar who people go out of their way to help.
