Whimsy January 16, 2023 Share January 16, 2023 Quote As the unit investigates a murder victim whose body has been drained of blood, the gruesome case catches the attention of a true crime show, and Brendon shares his “Vampire Cop” expertise to help solve the case Original airdate 1/17/23 Link to comment

shapeshifter January 18, 2023 Share January 18, 2023 Mostly a quirky, fun episode, with the exception of Stenson having a temper tantrum in the office. Combined with the hot mic bits, the characterization of her emotions and her sex life bordered on misogynistic writing, IMO. In comparison, they didn't think Garza hiding his medical condition was good for laughs. I was surprised and amused that Brendon Acres' role in Vampire Cop was that of an actual vampire. Silly me thought he was more of a slayer. Glad we got that cleared up. Link to comment
rollacoaster January 18, 2023 Share January 18, 2023 This is the only full episode of this show I've watched, and it was absolutely bonkers, in the best possible way! Is it always like this? It came off as a spoof of a procedural show. 1 1 Link to comment
milkyaqua January 18, 2023 Share January 18, 2023 This was definitely nuttier than their usual and I definitely could have done without Stenson and her love life especially with her boyfriend who couldn't seem to remember his mic was on but she didn't notice it either until after the fact so neither of them came off in that case as too bright. I did like seeing Simone with an actual blouse on, lol. Nice to see Donna Mills. Also, did anyone else get the feeling that documentary guy might be mixed up/responsible for those Canyon murders? 1 Link to comment

Fingers crossed this is the trend, but I watched another show that had a terrible pilot but followed with every other episode being wonderful, and it still got canceled. 3 hours ago, milkyaqua said: Also, did anyone else get the feeling that documentary guy might be mixed up/responsible for those Canyon murders? buttersister January 19, 2023 Share January 19, 2023 Also my first episode. The agents having an affair were zzzzzz, but the rest of this was fun. I'll try next week's to see if this is a trend or an exception. 2 Link to comment
JenLily January 19, 2023 Share January 19, 2023 I don't hate the show the way a lot of people seem to but I thought this was an especially fun episode. I would've watched the hell out of that Vampire Cop show (the "memory blood" or whatever they called it was actually kind of clever!) and I legit laughed out loud during Stensen's temper tantrum when she turned and saw she was being recorded and shrieked, "What, CRYSTAL?!?!?" Lethallyfab January 22, 2023 Share January 22, 2023 The scenes from ‘Vampire Cop’ were absolutely the best thing that the show has done to date. It’s always nice when certain actors (cough, cough, Kevin Zegers, cough) stay within their range. I presume that ABC was legally barred from mentioning that this was a CW show but we all know this was a CW show. Link to comment
