Just started watching this.  I’m prepared to be disappointed, though. Shows with this type theme start strong and then go downhill in a bad way.  
 

The wife says her husband came up to their door as a small boy saying his parents disappeared….so, did her family raise him along beside her?  Then she married him?  
 

That drifter poet sure is a smart mouth.  She seems a little too familiar with the landowner.

It might have been that she was sensing danger, maybe she was trying to stall for time, or trying to wake up the whole house. It did get mama bear out of her cave.

The entire Cowboy family stuff is boring and annoying. The hole and the drifter are the only interesting parts.
