Corgi-ears January 19, 2022 Share January 19, 2022 (edited) Quote Sherm tags along as Nicky sells a house to a famous rapper; Noah and his date get into a fender bender; Anthony deals with dating while vegan. Directed by, hey, Melissa Fumero! That was the most Happy Endings-ish episode yet. Rapid-fire jokes, multiple plots (TWO dating plots that could perhaps have stood alone on their own, but here kicked up a notch by being subsumed to an overarching sub-plot about Young Black Romance Theatre 🤣), some hilarious absurdism (Sherm and the rapper throwing down with autotuned voices), and the pairing of Nicki and Sherm was predictably THE BEST pairing. Tachi Rocinante January 19, 2022 Share January 19, 2022 Good episode, I like the way the cast gels, both all together and in smaller groups. The auto-tuned fight was a nice touch, as was the backhanded swipe at Soundcloud rappers. However, are wine bars really a thing? Or are they making a low-key joke about them? With the alcohol content in an average glass and the perceived rate of consumption, these people should be hammered all day every day. Or they are all high-functioning alcoholics. 5 Link to comment

Wine bars are a thing, generally in major cities. I’ve been to places that have wine on tap too, as it keeps the wine fresher longer. I can’t wait until this Panasonic is over and I can visit all the wine bars (not in one go though)! 3 Link to comment
Dancingjaneway January 20, 2022 Share January 20, 2022 Another really funny episode. I hope this show gets picked up for another season. The auto-tune argument was hysterical. Also loved Wyatt & Fay using Noah as their form of entertainment, especially when Wyatt made a recording for Kristen(his wife). 4 Link to comment
Amethyst January 24, 2022 Share January 24, 2022 Mason's father was a jerk, grillmaster or otherwise. It's funny how he complained about "kids these days" when Anthony showed more conviction with his decision to be a vegan than anything else. Knowing his family history and how dangerous heart disease has been to the Black community gave a lot of insight to Anthony. And him standing by his decision and not eating the meat really impressed me. Too bad Mason buckled under her father's idea. Good riddance to her and her asshole dad. This is a great show. It's so much fun to watch and I love the characters. I hope it gets renewed for s2. 1 Link to comment
